I’ve been eating their pizza since I was a kid. I don’t know what it is about their pies, but it has a specialness to it that I have not found anywhere else. This is the gem of New Britain pizza restaurants and a must have if you are in the area! Maybe it is the quality cheese that lends to the pizza being not greasy, that is stretchy and melty. Maybe it’s the pepperoni that crisps up perfectly while it cooks and has a perfect spicy kick to it. Maybe it’s the crunchy crust that crackles as you bite into it yet maintains a chewy texture that is so flavorful. And yes, the slices are squares, and it just makes sense lol. Whatever it is, it has not changed in the 30+ years I’ve been coming here! Friendly staff, perfect pizza, retro vibe interior. A must have!

My original review which had a half a million views, was allowed to be reset to zero, to marginalize it. No problem, I can repost too. This will be the most heartbreaking review I have ever wrote. Raw pizza!!!!! And they refuse new food or refunds for raw food! The older lady just got very angry i was returning the food for the first time ever and was furious and defensive. But lets get to the review. I have and my entire family and all of our friends have frequented in this place for 30 years. They use to have mini juke boxed on all tables, they been gone for years now though. I went there one month ago and for the first time got a pizza that was completely raw throughout the whole pizza. A gray ointment looking part underneath the sauce throughout all the pizza and when you bite into it it was a disgusting strange flavor that wouldn't leave your mouth for a long long time. When I Googled it, it said that is raw dough that is no good. I didn't even complain I said I'll go back but I'm going to wait a month, I went back 2 days ago the same thing! I called back right away this time with another $20 down the drain possibly and told the girl my pizza was raw and this time I will be returning the pizza but I just got home and I'll be back tomorrow or the next day to return it. When I returned the old bitter lady tried to tell me it's cooked until I pointed out that it's raw. Impossible to argue against it. Then she said why did you wait so long and I told her I told the girl I would be back yesterday or today, she said you waited too long and now I can't take it back. I am giving you no money. As a way to steal $20 from someone, but really its all i will be talking about when someone mentions pizza in nb again until forever. She thought she robbed me but really she threw out thousands of dollars going forward from such a large portion of their longtime customers between the 6 of us, all 30 year customers. It's the old disgruntled woman that looks completely miserable about life. Completely undescribable and Despicable Behavior to do that to your regulars. Sad to say after 30 years me and part of her longtime New Britain customers will never be back! I will upload the pictures, notice the portion underneath the cheese it didn't come out the right color but it's actually a neon Grey color for the raw dough but you will see it underneath the sauce. Me and my friends and my family have spent thousands over the decades. Anytime the food was slightly off, I hate to complain more than anything and I would just say it's going to be better next time and it always would be. This was not like that! I have always covered for them with their shortcomings that will no longer be the case. Let's get down to it outside of the pizza, the wings have a very strange hair coming out all them, it's very weird I never seen anything quite like it. The burgers are frozen stay away! And grinders are very average at best. The pizza was always the thing to come for and that is no more! Spread the word this place is no good anymore, it's even worse than they were after they obtained a huge amount of water damage and called Servpro years ago to clean up the damage to the business and the food was all off for a while after. And if they mess up your order or undercook your food, you wont get more food or a refund! Unbelievable!

Ordered three large pies and some apps. The food was good, but not your average pizza. The pies were cut into a grid which is a bit strange but, not a big deal. Flavor was good, however the pies were thicker than your average slice, and comparable to a Costco pizza slice, which is not a bad thing I guess. Our cheese pie was baked a little too long which burnt the cheese and lost it's cheesiness/texture, so that was unfortunate. The food will definitely fill you up if you have a big group, however it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Great food and waitstaff is always pleasant. I dont care what anyone says this place is always busy that means your food will be fresh and hot, yeah I have called sometimes and the phone was busy but hey like I said this place is always busy because people know how great their food really is, so I dont mind waiting for the phone line to be free to place my order. If you haven't tried their food then you dont know what your missing. The house Italian is made there I've seen people buy tons of it just to take it home!
