BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!

First of all let me say if zero stars was an option that would’ve been the only true representation of my review.

What a disappointment! A group of us pitched in to get our friend a gift certificate for her milestone birthday in 2019. The gift certificate we purchased had a significant value and an expiration date of 2024.

Seeing the world is becoming somewhat normal again and business practices in this particular industry are as well, my friend decided to finally pamper herself and use the gift certificate.

When it came time to pay she handed over the gift certificate and the new owner said she couldn’t use it because the expiration must be wrong. I say new owner because apparently and unbeknownst to my friend the business had changed hands since the gift certificate was originally purchased but they are still DBA The Heldrich Spa, which is the same name on the gift certificate.

The new owner, as well as an employee, not only accused my friend of altering the expiration date and/or creating a fraudulent gift certificate but went so far as to accuse her of having mental health issues for not understanding that they won’t honor the gift certificate under the same business name.

At some point the owner must have realized how unfair and irrational she was being and decided to honor $100 off the gift certificate for the services performed that day but told my friend that the remaining balance, a significant amount, is worthless. So the money we pooled together for this gift was basically stolen from us as the actual remaining balance on the gift certificate has no value, according to the owner.

I would never recommend The Heldrich Spa to anyone. I work too hard for my money and I will not tolerate or support companies with shady...

My husband treated me to a birthday day at the spa. I was hesitant at first because I've never been to this location and I'm sooo picky. Wow was I wrong. From the minute I arrived I was treated like a celebrity. The staff was so professional and made me feel like we had been friends for years. The atmosphere was so peaceful and serene. They had fresh fruit and flavored water at my disposal before and after my services. I had a brightening facial and a body scrub to start. Afterwards my face felt so hydrated and was actually glowing. Then the make up artist got me ready for my 40th event. Omg I was amazed. The Spa at the Heldrich is definitely a reason to stay here. The one hour each that my wife and I spend with her makes the stay 100 percent worth it. Kristina is a true professional and is very catering to the specific needs of her clients. My wife and I enjoy massage therapy many times during the year and we can both say that this is by far the the best massage we have gotten in NJ. We will definitely be back and will tell everyone we know to come here. The hotel should do a better job promoting her and the Spa. It’s really a reason to stay in this hotel. We couldn’t find that there was a Spa on the Heldrich hotel website. It’s a hidden Gem that needs to be told to everyone staying...
