Always have exactly what I need! Every time I have scoured a Lowes or Home depot for a specific part and cannot find it, I somehow always find exactly what I need from this store. For example, a part unscrewed from my bidet, I scoured Amazon, Lowes, Home Depot, and to no avail. I don't know why it took me so long to go to True Value, but low and behold, they had exactly what I needed, an M10 1.25 cap. Few weeks later, needed help as I was missing a a mount on a newly delivered faucet, went over there and was able to find everything that I needed to complete the install, had I gone to a big box store, I would have had to buy a whole new faucet. I have had at least ten previous experiences just like this with this particular store. Everyone there has been great with me. I walk in, tell them exactly what I need. We muse for a little while and ultimately find exactly what I need. I love their willingness to think out of the box and take the time to show me where all the possibilities may lie. Great staff, great store, oddly fantastic for a...
Read moreI just want to confirm what the other reviewers are saying. It's true! They are the most rude, lazy, unhelpful people I've every met running a business. I go there out of necessity.
Bitter old hags work up front while the smart a .. kid tries to help but is clueless. The owner is the only kind and helpful person in the store. Too bad he doesn't fire the employees, my guess is they are family.
I've felt like a suspect shoplifting, and god help you if you ask for help, you're interrupting their social hour.
I went in there to get a can of paint tinted. They wanted to charge me $5.00 to shake the paint. Once they realized it was not their brand they refused to even put it in their shaker. They said it might explode because if a tiny speck of rust on the can. Really? Meanwhile I had $50.00 of merchandise in my cart. And the best part is you get to pay 30% more for their attitude.
I try to avoid...
Read moreSept 5, 2016......terrible customer service; first of all, don't know why there were four people working on Labor Day. However, three of them were leaning against front counter chatting. Said what I was looking for (I am 72 year old woman), and was directed to aisle 4. Couldn't find what looking for, so went up front and asked for help (still leaning on counter)...the two men sent the young girl, who had no clue, to help me. Few minutes later, the man came back and picked up item and handed to me....said the girl should have known.....how could she know where items are when she is not told to walk around and enlighten herself to products. Then asked for another item and was directed down aisle 1. Was a nice young man stocking shelves, asked if he could help. At least he was working. Will only shop there when I...
