Awe, deep gratitude and at least 500 stars for Oakley Restoration and Finishing, especially Bill, Nathan and Josh. They worked on a sentimental family heirloom, a large 1890s mahogany dining room table, well loved, heavily used, but worn, tired, sway-backed and needing repair and finishing so I could gift it to the youngest of our 5 children as a housewarming present. Yes, you will cringe when you see the before photo and wonder what was she THINKING?? The final photo shows the skill inherent in the artisan team at Oakley, but not the most important part. I am so lucky to have found them (I’d cut out a newspaper article about them in 2009 thinking…sometime I will be able to use their expertise). The communication and all follow-ups are prompt and clear. Meeting and talking with them showed their knowledge and love of what they do, and how much they respect not only the physical history of the piece but also honor the emotional history involved. And they listen and hear what you need. I am beyond grateful that I found Oakley and that they gave us a beautiful, stunning table that will host many more generations of family for celebrations, feasts, everyday meals, homework, afterschool snacks, games…I can’t imagine anything will top the transformation they managed on this dining room table but I look forward to the next project and very very highly recommend them for any restoration work. After a 100ft Maple tree fell from our backyard through our home and into the front yard, we had many antique pieces that we thought were beyond repair. We were heartbroken until we met Bill at Oakley Restoration! Bill is a miracle worker - plain & simple. We had a dining room and farm kitchen table, antique desks, a front hall table not to mention the other various chairs with wood trim and dressers.

Bill & their team were so easy to work with, they seamlessly, retrieved each piece from the house (which was still raining through the light fixtures in the formal living room), took everything to their shop, repaired, and returned the pieces when the rebuild was completed. They were kind enough to work with our timeline and stored our pieces at their facility until the house was finished.

We were so impressed with each & every piece they worked on. Everything was flawless, completely restored! The best part was that Bill did not change the authenticity of the various pieces by making them look like they had recently been painted and making it obvious that work had been done. Each piece looked like it did when it was purchased - whether in 1920 or 2000. Bill and his Team at Oakley Restoration are true craftsmen and professionals and I have recommended them to anyone I know who needs their services. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc has done a beautiful job restoring multiple pieces of our furniture over the past several years: An antique oak sideboard which had water damage and a warped top. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc removed the warp, cleaned all the brass handles and refinished the piece inside and out. An antique table and chairs that matched the sideboard. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc refinished the set and reglued the chairs. A cedar chest which needed refinishing and trim replaced. An antique oak chest of drawers, which had stains on the top and was missing a brass handle. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc refinished it inside and out (including around the mirror) and cast a new ornate handle to match the others. A side table that had damaged veneer. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc reattached the veneer, matched and added new veneer, and refinished the piece. A walnut table with stain and broken finial. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc refinished the piece and turned a new finial to match the others on the table. An oak table and chairs.
