Old Alker Distillery was a total letdown. The two female bartenders were arrogant, clearly inexperienced, and honestly seemed a bit drunk. They were in way over their heads—rude, slow, and more focused on themselves than the customers. The cocktails were overpriced considering how poorly they were made and the lack of skill behind the bar.
One of them claimed the bourbon was distilled on-site, but that turned out to be untrue—it’s sourced from a factory and just bottled there. Misleading customers like that is a huge red flag.
The spirits themselves were middle-of-the-road at best, nothing that justified the prices or the attitude. The service is absolutely wonderful. I have been there several times with my whole family and no one disappointed. The drinks are awesome craft made and they make all of their own liquor and vanilla. I’m a baker and I use it in my cakes. It is delicious. I recommend this place to anyone!!!! Now the outside WOW! It is beautiful and on a nice sunny day.
