I cannot possibly say enough good things about 14 Parishes. The food is incredible, flavorful, perfectly tender and delicious, but the service - if I could give it 10 stars, I would. I was in New Orleans for a job, feeding a group of contractors. We had dietary restrictions and specific requests which were all proactively accommodated. They called to check with us on exact preparations and go over everything. When 14 parishes dropped off catering the first day, I got to talking with the guy who dropped off the food, Romaine, about the coming storm. He gave me his number, just in case anything came up. Needless to say, it did. The city got 14 inches of snow, and everything closed down. Because my entire crew loved the food, I had already ordered them 14 Parishes the day before, ready to warm up in the storm. But in an unexpected turn of events, we ended up with 80 more mouths to feed. NOTHING in the city was open. Not one restaurant, coffee house, grocery store... the roads were all ice and snow. We must have called 30 places. No one could help us. I texted Romaine as a last ditch hail mary. His staff immediately drove to their CLOSED RESTAURANT and started cooking. Within a few hours, they had piping hot food on our tables 4 miles away for 80 people, who otherwise would've gone home hungry. Not only did they feed us all, on a day they were closed, on a day when it was dangerous to drive, with 14 inches of snow on the ground in a city not ready for snow - the food was hot, comforting, and completely amazing. I would have gladly given them a five star review just because the food is worth it, but these guys go above and beyond and then some. Incredibly thankful to Romaine and all the staff at 14 Parishes for saving us tonight, and doing it in delicious fashion.

Was excited to try the food but was SORELY DISAPPOINTED. Had to get salt n pepper packs out our car. No season. I had oxtails mac n cheese & potatoes. Everything was simply overcooked & nasty! The flavors had me wanting to gag. Mac n cheese was mushy & grainy & room temp. Oxtail very stringy & nasty. That liquid it was sitting in just drove me! Phew! Never again. The other dish was short ribs cornbread & rice n peas. Omggg absolutely disgusting. One was a huge hunk of fat. Not much difference in flavor between this & the oxtails. The liquid OVERPOWERED the meat smh.... couldn't even tell them apart. Rice n peas DRY af... Needless to say we kept cleansing our palette with the sweet cornbread. Only item that was decent. Lastly.... drink was great. Service was great! Unfortunately we won't be back ever. FYI... THE WORKERS STAND AT THE BAR AND STARE YOU DOWN! HMMM... WONDER WHY?? THE GIRL & THE GUYS

Very very good food. The curry shrimp were delicate and tender but full of flavor and spice. The rice and peas were tender and tasty, the plantains were melt in your mouth soft and fluffy. The jerk chicken quesadilla was well seasoned, bright, delicious, and filling. The fried cauliflower could've used some salt, pepper, and a little bit of heat before being dredged and fried but it was still good and the chili sauce was good. The jerk wings were phenomenal and juicy. The coconut mojito was perhaps the best I've had. The rum punch was really strong, so if you're a rum lover, definitely go for that. My only hesitancy was with the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a little stiff feeling, maybe everybody was still dragging from the weekend, perhaps. The food quality was top notch, though.

Tried for the first time ordered a jerk chicken plate with plantains , rice & peas with a side of mac and cheese. the rice and peas were awful. The rice was hard beans were dry and just over bland. the plantains were average although I asked for them to be fried hard which they were not. The portion of my side mac & cheese was not worth the price and was pretty bland also it could've used a bit more seasoning. The chicken was the best thing on my plate although I was skeptical if my thigh pieces of chicken were throughly cooked so I only ate the drumstick. The togo worker was really sweet but the food in my opinion was subpar and overpriced for what I received. There are better options in the city than this place. Wish I would've gotten steamed veggies or cabbage instead of the rice and peas that ish was really dry as can be , it was a...
