On May 10, 2025, my daughter, her friend, and I dined at Pink Lots with a 3:30 PM reservation. Unfortunately, the overall experience was quite disappointing and did not meet our expectations. Upon arrival, we were initially directed to sit at the bar, which was unacceptable given we had a confirmed table reservation. After questioning this, we were told there would be a 30-minute wait for a proper table. Eventually, we were seated at a very small table, barely larger than a typical bar table, which was inadequate for our party. Once seated, our waiter took approximately 5 minutes to approach us for our order. We discovered that none of the beverages listed on the menu were available. I requested a Fanta Orange, but only Strawberry was available. Similarly, my daughter and her friend requested ginger ale but were told only Sprite was available. We ordered the spicy cheese dip, which unfortunately lacked flavor and had an unappealing consistency. The fried salmon burger had a flavorful crust, but the fish itself was under-seasoned and had an unpleasant, overly fishy taste. The seafood platter was average at best, and the lamb burger was just acceptable, though the patty was unusually thick and not formed as a traditional burger patty. Note: the appetizer and the food arrived only 5 minutes apart and the table was so small we could not fit all the plates. Additionally, we were provided with plastic cutlery and only a single napkin, which was wrapped around the silverware. Considering the restaurant adds a mandatory 20% gratuity to all checks, the service and overall experience were far below expectations. With a final bill of $158.00 for the food and service we received, I found the experience to be extremely disappointing and not reflective of...
Read moreFirst let me start with we had reservations and they required everyone to be there to be seated. I have no problem with that. But in the mean time we're waiting an hour and a half because the party before us had not left yet. The restaurant clearly over booked. It was hot in the restaurant, there wasn't a lot of waiting area either. So with that long of a wait of course you will order drinks. They are at least $15. The problem is the restaurant charges 20% on EVERYTHING. Not just your dine in. They charge you drinks at the bar 20%, if you are two people 20%, anything. So not only did we have to wait an hour and a half, I'm getting ripped off at the bar having to tip $3 for a $15 drink. When we finally get seated the area is cramped. The cover for the table is a plastic pink tablecloth from Walmart. And the heat was horrible, they had to have a huge fan in the back room. We were sitting there over 30 minutes and still hadn't gotten any drink or food orders in. Only to be told at that time that you can only split the check into two. We had a party over 10 or 15. Our server seemed willing to try accommodating us though. But here it is, an hour and a half after our reservation, no food and no drinks. At this point I'm done. I left and so did two of my friends. The aesthetic of the restaurant is nice, and our servers at the bar were nice too. I'd also like to add, they made it plain as day, if you ordered a drink or food you didn't like, they would make no changes. Also, the menu is minimal and way overpriced. It feels like this restaurant was just set up to empty the customers pockets in any...
Read moreMy mom decided to celebrate her birthday at this restaurant and I’m all for supporting black owned businesses! I actually celebrated my own birthday at B-spot which I absolutely enjoyed! However, at pink lotus I did not like the fact that it was so hot multiple people in our party was sweating uncomfortably without any warning that it would be no a/c. We weren’t able to sit together for this reason! I did not like the fact that the waitress got an attitude bc I asked was the temperature considered when she said “people aren’t suppose to move seats” I understand things may get confusing if people move around but that was no reason to get spicy with me! It was unprofessional. My experience at B-spot was much better than this! If I can give any criticism I would say please train your staff how to respond to people in a professional way! I don’t think she realized she was talking to the daughter of the woman who reserved her brunch to be there in the first place! On a more positive note, the drink I...
