Started off good. Got here at 0650 for a 0700 appointment. Got checked in. The guy at the desk was polite. I was not allowed to use the restroom because Iâm a truck driver. Okay. Whatever.
I got in the door around 0700. There were two other trucks in the door. No problem. One left and then a truck that got here after I did backed into that spot. The truck next to me left, and so I figured I was next. Nope. They started unloading the other truck first. I donât know the convo, but the door between us was opened and the receiver said something to the other driver. So they saw me. But, I wasnât in a hurry so I let it go.
The other truck left, and I reasonably thought I was next. After 10-15 minutes, I went in. I asked if they were going to unload me because the ice cream was going to start getting soft since my doors had been open for an hour and a half. The first thing the guy said to me (not the original man I talked to) was a question about why my reefer was off. I said it wasnât but the doors were opened and they donât have a refrigerated dock. Then he got arrogant and said he didnât even know I was here because he didnât check me in. Well, at least two people knew.
I would have been happy with an apology for not knowing, or any sort of decent response. If he would have acted professionally, I wouldnât be writing this. But now itâs 0900 and they still havenât unloaded my ONE pallet. And I have other product on the...
Read moreThis place is a god-send for the restaurant ownership based community. You can find any and everything in here and the beauty of it is that YOU CAN GET IT IN BULK. Any kind of restaurant based item can be found here and normally, this place is cheaper than other facilities of this kind.
The frozen food section is phenomenal; it's pretty massive in size as you walk into a larger than normal sized freezer. Be sure to grab an orange overcoat provided by the store as it is VERYYYYYY chilly inside. Fresh fruit, seafood, fish, chicken; you name it, it's in there.
To be noted: there's no fee to enter, you do have to be a member. They give you like a 15 little keychain cards for your use, I'm kidding, it's not 15, but you get more than 3; make sure to put a piece of tape over the barcode, as it will rub off due to regular wear.
Friendly cashiers will scan your items and place them back on the flat shopping carts while processing your items for payment. Don't expect any bagging to go on here, as most of the items are waayyyyy too large or bulky for bags.
Be sure to check the open and close times, they open super early, but also close early as well... oh and they're open on SUNDAYS;...
Read moreUPDATE; Wow, it's like this place has made a total 360 since a year or so ago! Totally different atmosphere, much more friendlier staff than the previous group. Also, there is no loads of inventory blocking most of the aisles! Such a HUGE IMPROVEMENT!
I still think they have great prices, variety, and quality, but it's the atmosphere I have a problem with. 2015 is when I was introduced to this store by a captain who demanded we start using them and I fell in love with this store. Now fast forward 2020, I walk in 2 stores at 2 different locations and basically brushed off by managent, even though my company was planning to spend between$10-$20k on an order. They use to help by pulling and pallatizing large orders but I was told they change that policy and that's fine, but the attitude of management and the unprofessionalism with workers cursing across to one another, but they were at least helpful. So disappointed to have to take our...
