Golf experience is good. The games took a minute to understand. Unfortunately at the end, left with a bad experience due to poor customer service policies. DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE! A policy to blame the customer (that knows how to cook and checks food temperatures with a thermometer) for poor quality food that the chef put out will not work in the long run. It left a bad experience and your company policy to not remake the food, blame the customer for the chefâs mistake, and not making the chef remake the food is not ok. This is a horrible policy for your customers and employees. Why have a policy, that causes a bad experience for managers, waiters, and the customers? Why is the chef not a team player? Why put your team and customers through that?
If you are local, just travel the hour to Top Golf that is more customer focused and takes care of their employees with better policies. Never had an issue there.
Here is what happened:
We ordered the wings and the inside close to the bone was cold.
The waitress was not checking in on us regularly so we waited to inform her about the issue. Her first response and look on her face was very telling. She said âlet me check to see IF the chef will remake itâ.
The manager from the 3rd floor came over and handled it poorly for about 30 minutes. He tried to blame us for the food being cold because we talked to our waiter 20 minutes later. Again, she was not checking on us every 5 minutes or immediately after trying the food. She was also not anywhere near our bay. That was not a fair statement.
After explaining about 2-3 times that the outside of the wings were fine but the inside was still cold like it was not heated all the way to the bone, he still tried to blame us for not running after our waiter. He decided to ask the chef if he would remake the wings and he told us that the chef refused to make more. He says there is NO POSSIBILITY that the chef could mess up. This is not true because even the best restaurants mess up and they quickly remake the food to fix the issue. He explains that this is the policy of the establishment and we have to go by the chefâs decision. This is a bad policy and not customer oriented. The chef clearly did not use a thermometer to check the wings because If the chef used a thermometer, he would not have sent those out. The middle towards the bone was refrigerator cold.
This is not a 5 star restaurant and itâs a new establishment, there is always a possibility that a mistake can and will happen. No possibility that mistakes with the food can happen is a reach.
The manager could only compensate for one of the wings. He kept saying that itâs not about the money but only compensated one order of wings versus 2. So it is about the money because he then provides a profit margin explanation when it comes to food and we understood because the whole time we knew it is about the money.
We had 3 people explaining 5 times to get one thing compensated. When it should have been immediate. Especially since they already knew the chef would not remake anything based...
Read moreIf youâve been to TopGolf, this is almost the exact same thing, but more expensive for what you get. We didnât have a reservation, so we knew we would have to wait. The person checking us in told us we could go upstairs and have a drink at the second floor bar, since the first floor bar was closed. Although we were the only people sitting there waiting to get a drink, the bartender was too busy filling drinks for the wait staff to be bothered with us. She kept telling us sheâd be with us, but 20 minutes later, still no drinks for us. At that point we were sent to our bay. We ordered drinks and nachos from our waitress, which came rather quickly. The nachos were just ok and were not worth $20! The food options available to order at the bays are all overpriced for mediocre bar food, imo. The drinks were very good though. There are no instructions to tell you how to get the balls to come out of the machine or play the games. Luckily, Iâve been to topgolf, so we figured it out. We didnât play any games, we decided we just wanted to hit balls to the various targets. I am a golfer, so I was happy to just practice hitting balls. Over all, we had a great time and we enjoyed just relaxing in the bay and hitting balls. When the bill came, our total before taxes and fees was $128.50. OK, so how was our total over $177???? For one, they charged a ânon-cash fee, which we werenât expecting. The waitress shoved the machine in our faces to get a tip and we chose to give 20%. She was an attentive waitress. I was still feeling uneasy about the total, so when I got home and reviewed the receipt, I saw that the 20% tip was applied across the total bill, including taxes, fees and the ($55) cost of renting the bay. I feel like the tip is supposed to be for good service and should have been applied to the pretax cost of the food and drinks that we had. Thatâs the norm. Adding another $11 for the machine just took the cost of the bay from $55/hour to $66/hour???? Iâm curious if the wait staff even get that extra âtip?â⊠Buyer beware! Overall, the best way to enjoy this place is with a group of friends. 6 ppl are allowed at the bays and when you divide that up over the high hourly bay rentals, itâs manageable. But, if you go for a date night and the two of you expect to have light bar food and a couple of drinks, expect this to be over $200 for the night. We shared one order of nachos and had 4 drinks between us, plus one hour in the bay on a week nightâŠ.$177.34. For us, it was over the budget. We generally do 3-4 weeknight date nights a month. This is the most expensive one weâve done recently, where no real food was involved. Iâd go back, but now I know what to expect, and I will NOT be tipping on the cost of...
Read moreI visited Five O Fore Golf for a friend's birthday, first time visit, and potential site visit. We entered with the intent to eat and drink not golf. After asking for assistance at the registration desk, we were directed to the second floor dining area. The first floor appeared to be closed. We arrived to the second floor absent of a hostess desk, instructions, or staff to assist with seating/dining. We grabbed the attention of Tamia, one of the servers assigned to the second floor for assistance in dining for first timers. She gave us recommendations for seating, food options, and drinks. We seated ourselves and waited for a server to take our orders. We waited for 15 minutes without any acknowledge from any staff members working on the floor or passing back and forth. We grabbed the attention of another server/runner, name unknown, for assistance with drink orders. She was polite but stated she could not place our drink orders at the bar and enlisted the help from Raymond, a server working a party on the first floor and assisting with the second floor. He spoke to the manager to get us a server who never showed. Tamia came back to check on us and ended up taking our drink and food orders. She was great. Our takeaways are as follows. Tamia was helpful. Raymond was the only employee that greeted us as patrons, had a professional demeanor from disposition and eye contact to service culture. He followed our experience until we left. There were two employees that were engaged in couples activity at the table behind us as if they were the only ones on the floor. The second floor is not a place to dine if one is not playing golf or not visiting with a large party. The establishment is absent of a service culture. The 5-10 rule to say the least should be taught, practiced and applied. The burger and fries are recommended items. The crawfish pies were exceptional and would order again. If there is another opportunity to visit, hopefully the golfing...
