I am a disabled veteran. TopBox is one of the benefits that we get so I signed up for it. I chose the shrimp in the first box that I received. The box arrived and the shrimp was very smelly. I chose not to eat it and called Top Box to ask them to change me to chicken for the meat choice. The woman that I spoke with was super rude and told me that I had to call the VA and tell them. I called the VA and they told me that shrimp was the only choice because they were out of the other meats. As far as the rest of the stuff in the box, they didn’t deliver the eggs because they said that they ran out (the following week the eggs were delivered but not until after I purchased eggs myself. One of the vegetables in the box was something that I don’t believe most people would eat. It was a squash that I did not recognize. There was a nice sweet potato but it was small and barely enough for one serving. As far as the fruit, the bananas were a weird brownish green and actually never ripened. The oranges were light orange/yellow with lots of lines and were not sweet. The apples were bruised and looked old. The only thing I can say that was good is the fact that they contact you several times to let you know that they are coming. They text the day they are coming and send a second text when they are 30 minutes from arrival. I am scheduled to receive another box today and will review it fairly...
