Phototronics Inc — Local services in New Trier Township

I have to say I was very disappointed with the quality of service at this location. I asked for some passport photos to be done and they said they knew what they needed to do so I took their word for it. Sent the application in and the application was rejected due to photo inconsistencies. Went back to the store to get them redone and then the man who took the original shots said he could not do that and he could get the owner. Owner came out and I explained the situation to him and he denied the shots were taken at his shop. I showed him the stores info on the back of the photos and his response was "anyone" could have written that. Then I had him bring up the credit card receipt and finally he acknowledged that the store did the work but was unwilling to retake them as it was a headache for them. So first they said they could do it and when they messed it up then they said they do not want to redo their errors. Finally refunded my card fee and I left when they said they will not be helping me anymore. They in fact tried to deny that they did the work at all and said I could have faked the photo info but after being called out on it they relented and gave me a refund. But the lack of professionalism here and the insinuation that I was trying to hoodwink them left me with a sour taste. Avoid this shop and any work that...

Just Fantastic! The work on editing/Transitions and Titles of a Wedding video was superb! You made our Christmas, the year! I am the worlds worst and shakiest photographer, I was embarrassed to show my effort. The Bride and Groom had not hired a professional and so my efforts were met with expectation. Without Jerry and the crackstaff at Phototronics everybody helped me; My laughable video and endlessly shaky movie, shots of the ground, out of focus, and wondering zooming in and out video would have been a memory of my unwatchable embarrassment. Egregiously over priced ($165 for a Porta 400 - 5 Pack is bonkers). Scans are unfortunately inconsistent in quality and processing. Hours are challenging. Wish I could support local but 200% markup on film with the other annoyances just make it nearly impossible to feel okay about it.

UPDATE: I did change to 3 stars as the lab tech reached out and was understanding and apologetic as there was a clear issue with the chemicals that impacted my negatives/scans. They did their best to edit the levels and it was kind of them. The fact the chemicals were off and my film was impacted is not okay though and something that is unfortunate. I do however appreciate the customer service to help make it better with the edits and a replacement roll...
