Brown County Fairgrounds — Local services in New Ulm

The fairgrounds have a campground! Although it isn’t open during the fair, it is available during other events, which makes it very convenient. We stayed there while attending a demo derby, and it couldn’t have been easier—just a short walk from our campsite to the action. The campground was clean, quiet at night, and perfectly located for anyone attending events at the fairgrounds.

The demo derby itself was great entertainment. The organizers did an excellent job running the show and keeping things moving smoothly. It was good times for the crowd and, as always, credit goes to the drivers, mechanics, and really—the entertainers—who invest their time, effort, and money into building these cars just to put on a great show for everyone. It was a beautiful sight this year at the county fair. So many things to to see in such a small place! But don't blink or you'll miss even the largest detail. Out of all the fairs and fests I've been to, this is honestly one of my top ten favorites. Being a city kid most of my life, I've never really seen anything like exotic animals or a food stand that sells FRESH lemonade. It was quite the site to behold. I'm still caught on the fact that they had Asian deer there that had canines(teeth)!! Or the other cool aspect was they had Kangaroos!! Healthy animals. Tractor pull was fun, many children. I think they should have two boys and two girls win in each age group, seems more fair.
