I remember growing up and my nonna taking me here all the time. Always had amazing cuts to be able to cook and always was very kind to my nonna, may she rest in piece. If i want good food to cook i know to come here thanks to nonna. It’s been a while but I’ve Been trying to eat more meat again so I’d definitely be coming back here. I work in the area for the MTA. I love the old mom & pop type of places that I grew up frequenting as a child. You don’t see much of that anymore. I walked in one day to pick up some things. And have been a customer ever since. I come from across town just to get my stuff. The prosciutto,fresh mozzarella,the meats and let’s not forget the sausage stuffed with broccoli rabe. This place is amazing! I move to the Bronx from Brooklyn 3 years ago and ever since I have been looking for a good butcher....I found Astor Prime Meat Market and I'm happy..my purchase today was oxtail, I was impressed with the cut and how clean the oxtail looked the fat was also trimmed perfectly.
