If there was "1" better library around, I would go there. Im not a QC student, so I pay $50 for a 6 month pass.
Here's a quick "brief" layout of who what and why:
The hours are never correct. The website says onething and the hours posted at the library are another. The hours that the library is open are, in my opinion ridiculous. Extremely dirty bathrooms. Little to no maintenance. ALOT of places to sit; I mean ALOT, but NO outlets. So if there were 100 seats only 10-15 seats might have outlets! The Wi-Fi is horrible when the library gets just a little crowded and by little crowded I mean half of the seats full. Because if anyone has been to this library during the midterms or the finals, 😵😵😵 then you know what over crowding is. People sitting on the floor, in the hallways, pulling and pushing seats all over the floor. It becomes a zoo, quite literally!!! The students have no respect for library rules or other students; NONE, especially SILENCE- period!!! Its getting worse every year!!! To top that off, the staff (janitorial staff) makes more noise then the students themself. They have the volume of their walkies cranked all the way up. They start conversing loudly and obnoxiously right next to silent areas. I tried talking some sense into one of them once, "tried". Later found out he was the manager. The excuses he made and the lame arguement he gave me showed his compassion for his job and what he knows and understands about his environment. Janitorial staff truely takes and deserves the cake. 🎂 Cant take drinks inside past the security check in, other than water. NO COFFEE!?! 😨
I come here because its either this or Flushing library or the...
Read moreI went here once to pick up a book, and once I stepped foot I couldn't believe my very own eyes. The interior looked astonishing. Once you hit circulation look up and you'll see a number of floors above. Each floor can be seen against a visible glass-cylindrical wall and it's just beautiful. However, the exterior of the library needs some work done for the clock tower has the most incomplete look against the rest of the exterior. If you look at the exterior of the clock tower at the Brooklyn College Library and compare it to the Rosenthal Library you'll see that the Brooklyn College Library has no skeletal looking exterior where as the Rosenthal does. They may have been going for a modern impression but, my impressions of it tells that it seemed to fail. Nevertheless, the interior helps to fix this issue. The Rosenthal holds a large collection of books ranging with a number of genres to choose from, and with a cozy and quiet interior reading and/or studying will be a relaxing and concentrative experience. Lastly the staff at the library are alright and they get the job...

Also, someone said that your opening hours are not the time shown in Google Maps, so what are the actual opening hours seven days a week? Please tell us so that we can know, instead of waiting for the staff to tell you that the time has...
