I recently visited this nail salon, hoping to support a new local business, but unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. I brought my own pedicure/manicure set, and the nail technician seemed unfamiliar with the tools, laughing at me for not knowing what to use. This was off-putting but I decided to continue with a regular pedicure, giving the place a chance.

The technician cut my toenails and shaped them poorly. When I pointed out that the shape wasn’t what I wanted, he blamed the length of my nails—even though he had just cut them! The service became increasingly frustrating when they used a handheld desk fan to dry my nails, claiming this was their method for gel pedicures and implying everyone should opt for gel. I had specifically requested a regular pedicure, as advertised, but it was clear they were unprepared or unwilling to accommodate. To make matters worse, the technician repeatedly touched my nails to check if they were dry, leaving fingerprints on the fresh polish.

The professionalism took a nosedive when the technician left mid-session to use the restroom, returning with an unpleasant odor and continuing to handle my nails without proper hygiene. I expressed dissatisfaction with the service, and while he offered a discount, it turned out to be a promotional rate already available to the public. He also attempted to appease me with a boxed set I had previously declined.

Overall, the service was unprofessional, unsanitary, and poorly executed. For the same price, there are far better salons along the Q25 bus line just a few stops away. It's disheartening to see such a lack of care in a small, up-and-coming business. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this salon to anyone. I sincerely hope they improve for the sake of...

This nail salon is now the only one I’ll be going to from now on!! I got there an hour before closing as a walk-in (the place is new, and since I live in the neighborhood, I thought I’d give it a try - and today was the day), but they still let me in. They were very friendly, and Liz took her time with my nails, making sure each one was the same shape and length and ensuring I was happy with every step along the way!! I love going to nail salons to treat myself, feeling relaxed and happy - not stressed from being rushed or dealing with imperfect shapes. I truly enjoyed our conversation while getting my nails done as well!! I’m super picky, but I’m beyond satisfied with their service. I can honestly say this was the best set of nails I’ve ever had ❤️ Like I said, this nail salon is now the only one I’ll be going to from now on and that I’m so happy that I finally found the perfect nail salon near my house with walking...

This is my second visit to Miss Liz Nail Studio, and once again, I’m beyond impressed. I truly can’t say enough good things about this place! The owners are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They always take the time to understand what I want and guide me toward what best suits me ◡̈
