After failing to find someone to deliver platters to a friend who just lost her fiance, an NYPD officer, I finally found Tost who would deliver on short notice to her apartment.
The day scheduled for delivery was the day of the funeral. I wanted her to start her morning off right and have all her breakfast essentials, should she want or need them. Unfortunately, I didn't find out till much later in the day that she hadn't slept at the delivery address I requested, as the commute would be too much for her to travel to the funeral home. I called this morning hoping that this issue could be resolved and that the food could now be delivered as comfort. I was informed that that was not possible, that the food had been DISCARDED because no one was there for delivery. I understand if the coffee was thrown away but not the bagels and danishes.
I even tried to offer to pay extra for additional delivery just to make this happen for the widow and just kept hearing that's not possible - as per the manager and that we could not have that delivered. I understand that this is a business, and I am sure they were frustrated to deliver items that could not make it to the final destination, but I am discouraged at their inability to be compassionate in my friend's time of need and that they were completely WASTEFUL. $60+ just wasted.

IN LIGHT OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW I WOULD THINK SATISFIED CUSTOMERS WOULD BE A PLUS TO A BUSINESS THAT I HAVE SUPPORTED FOR SUCH A LONG TIME. I usually order online, but for some reason the site was saying I could not place a delivery when they were. She was expecting me to know what to say to her when I asked for delivery, but her attitude was getting me unnerved, so I told her my order. I was not understanding her through the phone because she was speaking low. I asked her politely to repeat what she was saying, but she raised her voice at me and said your address! you want delivery right? I am familiar with the business for years, and their customer service has always been below par, but the woman lost her temper at me when I was being polite to her.
