Beplat Hardware True Value — Local services in New York

I normally don't write reviews but my experience here was appalling.

The prices are greatly inflated, and much higher than other hardware stores such as Home Depot. The customer service is not only slow but also terrible.

For a 1 1/2" PVC pipe, I was originally quoted for $0.95 per foot. After confirming the pricing and having the piping cut to my specifications, I was upcharged at the register at $4.00 per foot. Claiming that I was misquoted, and that I had to buy the pipe because it was already cut, I decided to buy the pipe.

If this was a simple pricing matter, I wouldn't be bothered. However, the lady at the register was extremely rude and unprofessional. She started raising her voice and gave a nasty attitude. What's worse is that she wrongly assumed that I didn't understand Korean, and starting speaking badly about me in Korean under her breath and to the male worker that was next to her. Mixed in with the insults were racist remarks. I am confident that if she were aware of my fluency in Korean, she would not have said...

Great hardware store with easy parking. Was promptly greeted and asked if I needed assistance. I handed him 2 keys I needed duplicates made (2 of each) and they were ready before I grabbed a tube of caulk I was also purchasing. I also inquired about pipe cleaners which my wife texted me to get and the gentleman returned with a plastic handled spout brush, thinking it was not what I needed. Well, I took it anyway cause I wasn't actually sure what my wife needed for. Turns out it was exactly what she wanted so she could clean the tea kettle spout. Lucky me! Anyway, back to the store. This place has just about anything. It's not set up in an easy way for you to find everything, but their system of having all hands on deck eager to get it for you is flawless. Great hardware store I highly recommend. I only wish it was close to my house as I would frequent this place weekly probably. I only found it due to working at an apartment nearby. I may just take the drive if need be. By the way, our new keys worked the locks...

This hardware store is located at 150 & roosevelt ave in flushing. Called for inquiry and poor respond and support. The response is more like you come and check for yourself. I took a visit and looked around to see if I can find what I needed to purchase. No one seem to care for their customer. Nobody asked if I needed any help. After looking through all the sections, finally found one that was similar to the one I was looking for. I walked up to the counter. No greeting. Just telling me the price. made a purchase and walked out...
