The croffle. So, I know this has been big in Asia for sometime, but as far as the U.S., it seems to be fairly new. I saw a post from Eater a couple weeks back that mentioned this croffle. The cross between a croissant and a waffle. I was instantly intrigued and even gave a little head tilt and eye squint. I wanted this croffle. I looked at their Instagram and saw that theyâre way out in Flushing, Queens. I just moved to Jersey, so taking public transportation from Jersey to Flushing would be quite the hike. But ladies, gentlemen, and non-conforming genders, I was down for the cause if it meant trying this croffle that had rave reviews. So I spent close to 2 hours taking a bus to a train to a walk, to get to The Croffle House to try a croffle.
So, I really did like the vibe. It was light-hearted energy, music, polite staff who were extremely patient with me as I filmed and stared in aw at all their beautiful, freshly-baked croffles. Such a well-run operation. There were croffles everywhere. Croffles on display, croffles being stuffed and loaded and topped withâŠwell, toppings in the back by the bakers, croffles being eaten by customers. I was pleasantly and croffle-y overwhelmed.
I was finally ready to order. But then I wasnât because I couldnât decide, so I told the girl behind me that she could go first. There was just a lot of pressure, or maybe in was in my head that I needed to choose two of their best croffles, and not order every single one from the menu. It was stressful. But, I finally got my life in order and ordered the Nutella croffle, which was loaded with Nutella and bananas, and topped with whipped cream and those little delightful chocolate pearls that I love. It really was divine. The second croffle that I orderedâŠthe starâŠthe BeyoncĂ© of croffles is what I call itâŠ.was the blueberry cream cheese croffle. First of all, just speaking on the croffle itself, it is SCRUMPTIOUS (insert crying face emoji). The appearance of the exterior gives a waffle vibe. The taste and texture also gives a waffle vibe, with slight croissant vibes. The interior is more croissant. It is FLAKEY, and I mean the flakey you donât mind. This isnât someone not showing up for a date, this is crusty, crispy, crumby, light, crunchy flakey. I mean it truly is what would become of a waffle and a croissant having a baby. And these are the types of baked goods that must be baked fresh and on site. Otherwise, the texture changes and it just wouldnât be the same. Ok, the BeyoncĂ© blueberry cream cheese croffle is stuffed with and topped with this blueberry cream cheese that is pure bliss! This cream cheese is perfectly infused with blueberry flavor. It was rich, yet light. You had a dusting of powdered sugar, as well as fresh blueberries. This croffle was next level and I barely remember eating/chewing it. I kinda just vacuumed it up with my mouth until it was sadly gone.
All this to say that The Croffle House way out in Flushing, Queens is worth the trip. Wherever youâre from, itâs worth the trip. I can assure you, they do croffles right, and you wonât be disappointed, and if you come here and write a bad review, youâre lying, and youâre wrong :-) Seriously, so worth it! I approve...

The STAFF is incredible and very nice. Every time I went, they were always super nice and willing to help me. The cafe itself is super clean and kept up.
I've gotten CAKES done from them tiwce. Cakes start at 35 dollars, and obviously, you can add more things to the cake that would bring up the price, but it's still super reasonable. Fruit added to the cake is included (free). The only Items that would be an additional price are adding Macaroons and donuts that they offer in the shop, which are incredible and always fresh. If you have anything that you would like to add to the cake, they will add it for you, I brought in toppers and Sprinkles that they were more than happy to use for me. The cakes were moist, and the fruit was fresh. Both cakes were chocolate cake with a strawberry filling. The icing was delicious, and I loved that they were able to make any color I wanted for the cakes. I made my daughter's cake topper. I bought the Lilo and stitch cake toppers and donut rings from amazon. Both were birthday cakes.
Side note if people are wondering why the pink donut cake looks a little wonky, that's my fault, not theirs. When I picked up the cake, it was perfect and standing straight. I walked with the cake to my daughter birthday event, so that was on me, not them.
I definitely recommend getting custom cakes here if you want something quick, delicious, and fancy for...

At first, I was very skeptical on getting this, as cronuts and mochinuts were total hypes for me. I ordered the nutella and the strawberries and cream. Honestly I really enjoyed this invention. The croffle was not oily and flaky as I had expected from a croissant, but rather crunchy like a waffle. It also didn't taste heavy like I would get from a regular waffle. They cream was sweet and not artificial tasting, and even though strawberries are not in season, the hint of tanginess made it really refreshing. The torched banana on top of the nutella was a nice touch of flavor, but I recommend eating that right away as it was not as great when I saved it overnight.
At around $4-$5 a piece, these portions were really worth it. I came back again a few weeks later and got the mango's and cream, mixed berries and cream, and the blueberry cream cheese. Personally, nutella (minus the banana) was still my favorite to eat the next day, and strawberry for the day you actually buy it.
They have also arranged a nice outdoor seating area with sections for each group, and you are right by the LIRR so if you need a quick ride to the city, it is...
