GO TO THIS STORE! Even if you don’t buy anything (though I doubt you will be able to resist) the vibes are IMMACULATE. Violet has curated such an incredibly warm and welcoming place that is a delight for all the senses. It is difficult to know where to start, but once you do, you will find yourself coming back again and again. I literally create excuses to run errands that will take me by the shop so I can stop in. Being able to read about where each item comes from is so special, and helps create an environment that is loving and intentional. During my first visit I was so overwhelmed (in a good way!) with everything I was really torn about what to purchase and not wanting to splurge too much. Violet said to me, “It’s ok, you don’t have to purchase everything today, I will have it in stock so you can always come back for it.” I’ve never respected a store owner so much. I came back for the additional item that same week. I have never ever regretted a purchase from her and made a point to get holiday gifts from her for my partner, my best friend, and myself! I don’t know how Violet does it, but she always has a well-curated selection of goods that range from food, tea, pantry, drink mixes, housewares, to clothing, jewelry, books, toys, and accessories. I’ve found button-up shirts for myself there, socks, bags, and so much great various and sundry goods for all ages that I make it a point to visit her store if I know I need something. She stocks a lot of local, handmade, and ethically made/eco friendly goods as well as a rotation of limited-edition flavored chocolates by Raaka and so much more; her shop is always changing so no two visits will quite be the same. I have been shopping at Violets for years and I can honestly say that it is my favorite place to buy gifts (and I rarely can leave without treating myself to something too)! Her aesthetic is impeccable - curated, magical vintage finds, all fairly priced and beautiful… surprising trinkets and edible treats, also gorgeously curated…and Violet herself is the kindest and most bighearted business owner I’ve ever met.
