I love this little park/playground. It is an oasis in this barren neighborhood. I love the diversity among people who enjoy exercising and strolling, and kids rollerblading and playing.

I am glad that the "punching bag" boxer and the "throwing shuriken" ninja teenager bullies are gone from this park. Here are a few more things I have noticed.

There are some folks openly drinking beer and smoking weeds especially during the weekend. If you see it, please report them to the police.

Many adults work out in the small areas where the monkey gym and sit-up equipment are. Please parents, take your kids to the kid's section. Why do you assume the monkey gym is only for kids? If you do, you have never heard of Calisthenics exercise, look it up. That area is not a parent's gathering place, walk a few more steps and find the "real" playground and help your children socialize with other kids. You may have one kid, but you have no idea how many little ones stop by and dangle their bodies during my 10-15 minute workout. It is a playground for everyone, not just for your kids.

For that reason, the park management should move the monkey gym to the kid's section and facilitate the areas with pull-up bars and parallel bars to create a real workout environment. Please make it happen.

Please please do not ride bicycles in the running track. Smaller bicycles/tricycles are okay, but there are some teenagers ride big ones. Bike paths are all over the place outside. Why would you come to this tiny/narrow running track and try to run over people? I know that's not your intention, but that is...

I go to this park very often it offers almost any age group and activity. There is a generally large play ground with baby swings and normal swings for kids. There is an area for people to play handball or tenis. There is a sitting area with tables for parties or just to chill. There is an area to ride a bike or walk around, including basketball courts. To the side includes a workout area. Oh yeah, there are toilets at the park as well. Lastly there is a very small pool included, which opens during the summer, for free. Many trees and bushes are around the park as well.

The down sides to the park is that alot of teenagers come to the park to smoke later in the day. The cirlce for bikes/ scotters/ walking ends up smelling very bad. The park is beautiful and full of nature, but is ruined by discussing teenagers rotting their lives.

I love this park, and recommend it to anyone, but thoes teens are really throwing me off here...The park just needs more security, or just a cop patrolling the park. There are many stores and a Subway near the park, for easy access, even though there are water fountains and the ice cream truck always stops...

I have an electric bike in the appearance of a scooter, I decided to as the balance bike for kids did the same with my electric bike to approach the pool since this was a distant memory as I used to visit it when I lived in the neighborhood in my youth. I encountered a hostile person been dressed as a New York Police officer, she was rude and anyone approaching you with a gun telling you that you can't do certain things isn't really a challenge so I was Alamed to say anything further. My suggestion to the New York State Department and or Cities, not to have police interests in our parks since their presence is known for the emergence of criminals and of their activities. Let's keep our places to enjoy our parks in a safe manner without the sort. Otherwise the pool pretty much remains the same. However found out you'd have to be accompanied by a child of a certain height in order to gain access to pool. Also the playground area for children and park itself needs to...

Day 10 - 5k around the Lawrence Virgilio playground in Queens. The pavement is smooth so good for getting speed up (not that you see any of that in this video) 🤣 #rollerskating #rollerskatingtiktok #rollerskatingnewbie #rollerskatingnyc #rollerskatingmarathon #learningtorollerskate #nycskate

This park is my childhood. I fell in love with soccer at age 4, playing on the concrete box next to the baby swings, using trash cans as goals. I played basketball in the lowers, handball against the walls, and did acrobatics on the monkey bars. I explored the steep sloping forest that surrounds one half of the park, and swam in the center pool that was never clean. As the years have passed, I've spent late nights playing cards with friends, having conversations on Jadens bench, running around the track, and swinging on the swings with strangers. Even smaller public spaces like these shape childhoods and provide sanctuary to all. Thank you Lawrence Virgilio Playground

This park is such a hidden gem and a favorite spot for families in the area. It has everything you’d want for a fun day outdoors -a big jungle gym for the kids, basketball and handball courts for teens and adults, and even a swimming pool that opens during the summer months. What makes it extra special is its location on a hill, giving visitors a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding neighborhood. There are also shady picnic spots and plenty of benches to relax on while enjoying the breeze. Perfect for play, exercise, or just soaking in nature’s beauty!
