Overall Selection: Wide, no inner city neighborhood grocery store will compete with a Stop n’ Shop in the Suburbs but this place can hold its own given the square footage they are working with. They have organic and Halal products.

Dairy: Very wide selection of milks, cheeses, etc. Also have alternatives like almond milk. Extra points for having Kerry Gold Butter.

Meat: Wide selection of chicken include free range and Halal. Decent choices for pork including bacon. Small but quality selection of seafood. My one complaint is their red meat department. Although it takes up one half of an isle, I find the cuts to be poor and measly. A steak to me should be at least a 1/2 inch thick.

Fruits & Vegetables: They have everything you want. It’s not Whole Foods, but they have organic options. Everything is fresh. My favorites are the $3 bag of Kale, and their wide selection of dehydrated fruit (although it aggravates me they don’t have tongs for the dehydrated mangos, just a useless plastic spoon).

Bakery: They actually make some of their own bread on site. My favorite is the cheese roll, which are great for sandwiches. They have decent bread, but it goes fast and could be better. I’m not crazy about their pastries that all come from off site. Poor muffin selection and their chocolate crescent tastes like it is coated in wax. They have chocolate hip muffins in four packs, and the chips look like periods. No thank you.

Deli: Boars Head, obviously. They have cheaper alternatives as well. Their prepared food section is good if you are in a jam, but I wouldn’t live off of it.

Coffee: It’s own food group in this city. They have a decent selection of coffee and teas with all the big names represented.

Junk Food: I’m not the best person to ask, but they have it.

Other Stuff: Small behind the counter toiletries section at the expression line. Worth checking out before you die of old age in the line at Rite-Aid...

SO I WAS HERE TODAY. I’VE ALWAYS BEEN A CUSTOMER SINCE 3 YEARS SINCE I MOVED AND TODAY IS THE FIRST TIME I AM COMPLAINING NOT ABOUT THE PRODUCT BECAUSE I ALWAYS FIND THE PRODUCTS HERE VERY FRESH AND GOOD QUALITY. HOWEVER, TODAY WAS HORRIBLE. THE LAST TWO TIMES I BOUGHT EGGS (LET ME TELL YOU AGAIN IN THESE 3 YEARS) I HAD ONE MISSING PIECES IN EACH. I TOOK PIC OF THE MISSING EGG BUT I WAS ALREADY HOME AND WAS TOO LAZY TO COME AND ASK FOR THAT ONE PIECE EVENTHOUGH IT HAPPENED TO ME TWICE. TODAY CASUALLY WHILE I WAS CHECKING OUT, THERE WAS A GUY WHO I ASKED IF HE IS A MANAGER, HE SAID SORT OF BUT CAN HELP. SO I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED THE LAST TWO TIMES AND I WAS JUST ASKING ‘IF YOU CAN’ MAYBE DEDUCT THE TWO EGG PIECES PRICE THINKING I WILL NOT MIND IF THEY CAN’T BUT HE SAID I WILL GIVE YOU TWO EXTRA INSTEAD (ALSO, THE ONE THAT I WAS GONNA BUY TODAY WAS WAY CHEAPER) AND I WAS LIKE OFCOURSE AND LATER CAME ANOTHER GUY WHO IS THE MANAGER AND WAS LOOKING FOR ME. I EXPLAINED THE SAME THING WITH SMILE ON MY FACE AND HE GOES NO, I DON’T WANT TO GIVE YOU WITH HIS WEIRD BODY LANGUAGE. I GOT MAD RIGHT AWAY AND TOLD HIM THAT HE IS LOSING A REGULAR CUSTOMER. HE EVEN TOLD ME THAT IT IS MY JOB TO CHECK BEFORE I BUY WHICH IS TRUE BUT HE CLEARLY DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO TALK TO CUSTOMER. SO I RETURNED ALL THE STUFF THAT I BOUGHT ANF LEFT. ON THE WAY I REALIZED I FORGOT TO RETURN THE MILK WHICH I HAD IN MY BAG AND SO I WENT BACK TO RETURN IT BECAUSE I DIDN’T WANNA TAKE THINGS WHICH DOESN’T BELONG TO ME. TO MY SURPRISE, A LADY WITH A SERVICE DOG WAS YELLING AT HIM AND SAYING ‘I AM CALLING THE POLICE’. IT’S A SERVICE DOG AND YOU CAN’T KICK ME OUT. THE POINT IS THE MANAGER DOES HAVE SOME KIND OF ATTITUDE AND HAS CLEARLY VERY RUDE WAY OF TALKING WITH CUSTOMERS. NEVER GOING BACK TO THE...

I have a few complaints. As others have stated marked sale prices aren’t what’s charged at checkout, for example there was a 2 for $4 cheese sale this week but was charged $5 at checkout, I awwats check that it’s the exact product and size so there was no mistake, so basically false advertising. As it’s a small store you get whisked through checkout very quickly and feel you need to get out of the store as there’s no room to check receipt etc, I do when I get outside, this is about the 4th ,5th time I’ve noticed this, it’s a $1 so I’m not going to fuss about it. I visit the store daily when I get off the subway , so at this stage I’d say I’m recognizable by staff/security. I work in construction so when I come in I can look a bit scraggly I guess. I have been followed around the store several times and Hawkeyed by security and it’s very unwelcoming especially as they’ve seen me in so many times, I don’t need to steal I work! Lastly whoever the brainchild is who decided to put the fresh bread in the window, needs to rethink. Regardless of the sun blind that only covers a 1/4 of the window, some of the less popular selling rolls/danish etc are left baking in the window . By the time I get to it 4pm the rolls are like toast where they gave been slowly baking in the window all day. So variety is ok, defo overpriced but convenient. That’s why it gets 2 stars...

This store is great. So happy to have it right down the block in my neighborhood. It is convientenly right off the subway stop. They have good quality and a great variety for anything you might need. There is a hot bar in the back for last minute meals or take out as well. Always a quick checkout even when crowded.
