This was my favorite laundromat for nearly 4 years because of how clean and friendly it is. Unfortunately my experience today leads me to write this review about the new manager Mercedes. She was condescending, unwelcoming and down right rude. From having the need to tell me âmake sure you put the carts back when youâre done loadingâ as soon as I walked in and reached for the first cart to not only asking me if I was currently using a cart WITH MY WET CLOTHES IN IT but moving it. I was actively sorting my clothes when she approached me pointing to an empty cart at first, asking if I need it. I replied no and she walked over to the two carts with my clothes and tells me they âcant be in front of the dryers unless youâre using themâ I say âI amâ and she still moves it! She mumbled something about having to take a picture of the area and with no further explanation, takes a photo with me in it. I find this inappropriate as I didnât notice her say anything to anyone else in there. Before all of this, I asked for the code to the restroom (which Iâve done with no issues every time) she says nothing and walks as if Iâm suppose to know to follow her. When I tell her she couldâve just told me the code (staff usually does) she snarkily responds âwe donât do that anymore im manager now so no one will be allowed to give you thatâ. I was there for nearly three hours and didnât see her give anyone else in there that energy. Iâm not sure if she thought I was too timid as I am an Asian American who is use to racial stereotypes and profiling but I strongly suggest corporate review this person. I will no longer be coming back to this location because of her. The three stars are for the past /other employees and experiences prior to today. The place is usually clean enough without the new manager picking and choosing which customers to hold her duties to.
Update 2 months later: Feb 2025
As you can see below, my review was acknowledged but Iâve reached out several times since to speak to someone but no response. Why ask for a review if you arenât going to be accountable or take your...
Read moreI can do my laundry here with relative ease. To beat the crowds you should get here before 8am on the weekends or come back during the work week when most people are at work. You'll have no problem with crowds then. Come over 6am-2pm to beat the after school/after work rush.
They have ample parking and they just installed new seating for customers. Weekends are a little more crowded than during the week and the parents bring their kids which could be quite noisy. There are soap vending machines and they recently acquired new soda and snack vending machines. There is also a hot coffee and cocoa machines, and something very new that I haven't seen here until recently, are the hot sandwich and health conscious salad vending machines.
They also offer drop-off wash and fold laundry service for a nominal fee according to how much your laundry weighs. They have a relaxation room with massage chairs and air conditioning for those hot summer days. There's tables and chairs to sit at and charge your phone if you have a USB charger or charging cable to plug into the many outlets around the establishment.
You can also watch one of many TV programs on one of several TV's surrounding the Laundromat. Or mood music piping through the ceiling speakers. Parents of small children should also note that there is a children's corner here with kid sized tables and chairs, some books and an activity zone.
In addition there is a unisex restroom here for patrons only but you must get the door combination from the attendant first. Please know on the restroom door before entering the restroom in case someone may be using it. The laundry staff are courteous and helpful and are glad to answer or lend laundry advice.
I give this establishment very high marks for ease of access, machine availability, cleanliness, staff courtesy, and machine condition. I give them 5/5 Stars. Come on over and give this Clean Rite Laundry...
Read moreOverpriced, even for NYC. 3.00 fee just to get one of their dedicated cards to use the machines. The machines are not the largest. They are high but not deep- 5 bucks for the large ones. They sell laundry bags for 7-8 bucks. It is filthy. The folding tables dusty and dirty also. A lot of the dryers did not work. The only plus is they have a parking lot. I will stick with the old school laundromats that use quarters and have more washing machine options. Ooh they have extra large machines for 10 dollars per use . Another example of capitalistic practices taking advantage of lower income populations.
So apparently you have to wash your clothes in warm at this laundromat. If you use cold the water pressure is so low that it will not wash your clothes. The employees are very rude and stated it is my problem there is nothing they can do. I can pay to use another machine or deal with it. ATTN- be careful when you use the dryers in the back. One dryer is 49 cents for 10 minutes and the same dryer right next to it is 49 cents for 5 minutes.. There are no postings in the difference in prices or temp..there are pictures of the...
