Country Collection Furniture — Local services in New York

My wife and I walked into this furniture store and were immediately well welcomed in by Paul, he was a real gentleman and easy to work with (no pressure like other salespersons). He was very patient and knowledgeably about every single piece of furniture in the store. We were surprised at the size of the showroom which is larger than it looks from the street. All the furniture carried in the store is made in USA. The pricing is fair and I would compare the quality to Thomasville. Our first purchase was a sofa, loveseat, and Paul was patient with us as we navigated the 100’s of colors and fabrics. The delivery came and we are extremely happy with the fabric quality, cushioning and color. Our second purchase was a bedroom set for my daughter, there was more customization involved and everything came as expected. The quality of both pieces rivals the Thomasville pieces we have in our house already. However, there was a minor issue with damage to one of the drawers, but Paul addressed it immediately. You cannot beat Country Collections prominent level of customer service. The overall experience from walking into the store, the purchase and delivery were wonderful. I have never had a better experience buying anything ever. Buying furniture tends to be a stressful process, you look and look, deal with pushy sales people who don't seem to know about the product and then have a inevitably disastrous delivery. Well, my experience buying a bed set from Paul at Country Collection was just the opposite. The floor room has a great variety, many more options than other places in NYC/NJ. My item Paul had different drawers to show the wood colors (because tiny swatches are never enough). Paul talked to us about the product and company. He didn't try and push a more expensive set on us which I appreciated. When it came time to purchase Paul was very responsive, and worked with me to achieve an important and tight deadline. The best part of the experience was the delivery. Paul came as a Forman to guide the delivery people. It made a world of difference, they were careful and diligent. I had just redone my floors and was a little worried about big furniture coming into the apartment. I had no reason to worry, there wasn’t a scratch or a ding on anything at all. They were some careful with everything and made sure everything was assembled and set up exactly how I wanted it. This was probably the best buying experience I have ever had. I have NEVER had a more pleasurable experience looking at furniture, and, purchasing furniture than from Country Collection Furniture. The furniture is superior than anything you will find anywhere else. A MAJOR plus is Paul Godnig, the owner. This man goes above, and, WAY beyond. It's so refreshing to find an honest, and, decent salesman. He truly cares about his clientele. I wish I could purchase everything in his store. I originally purchased a dining room set, three matching bar stools, rocker w/ottoman, a Howard Miller Clock, and, bedroom set. Came back to him after Raymour & Flanagan sold my living room set (which I paid in full for when I purchased it)! Ordered a beautiful, rocker recliner w/heat and massage, love seat w/console, and, two accent tables. Paul is SO helpful, and, pleasant. He truly makes shopping in his store effortless. I would NEVER go anywhere else for furniture. He was, and, is a true blessing. I now consider him a friend.
