New Hope Community Church — Attraction in New York

Tonight I was invited to your church for Fridays night service. I have never had such a horrible experience in church than I have at yours. The way those people looked at my children and I is something I never want to feel again. I am truly appalled your church says they have a relationship with Jesus. I am no preacher, but have been to over 100 different church’s with my experience with “Teen Challenge” and the “Hoving Home” for the last 10 years. The way the people of your congregation “shushed” my 4 children you would have thought my children were lepers. We left 5 mins in the “Apostles” sermon after your “Prophet” spoke. The Bible warns us of churches like yours. Unwelcoming to children? Looks of condemnation? Truly disturbing. My spirit is so sick after that experience. My children are rattled internally as well.

We will never return and I will make sure I share my experience of your church to those I encounter. May the Lord bless all of you. I’ll be praying for you, at my real church. Where everyone is welcome....
