CTown Supermarkets — Local services in New York

Lately c-town has been slacking, the 2 clerks are wonderful but the store over all is in need of a remodeling job. The raw vegetables are turning colors and they don't have a great variety of vegetables and fruits to pick from I purchase some tangerines and they were horrible they were very sour as well rotten inside. The store plays great R&B music but their food products are not up to standing anymore, c-town was once a great store to grocery shop at but now most of the selection in there are names you do know or want. Their meat selection is just what I said not really anything to "select", not much of anything you want as far a meats and sandwich meats are concern. The cake selection is the same as the meats nothing you really want. I can rate c-town with a 2 star Update 9/28/21 C-Town has not done anything to approve they store at all and the same stuff is still in there. This store needs better products and a much better selection of Items for us to be able to select from! I won't shop there until it's changed and better products are in there for us to purchase. I shop at Crown because it's has a clear and concise floor plan, the employees are always at work on the floor leaving me alone while i shop, yet always at my disposal when i ask for their help for any products I can find or advise me on ways to get the best deals for the items i need. The cashiers and bag assistants are fast and personable without being obnoxious disenchanting or annoying sweet. I wish that the produce section was the 1st priority and had a more thorough and complete array of clean healthy vegetables and fruit. You could update the storesb overall design /look and get rid of all of depressing weathered beige and replace it withnsome tropical greens colors that a fun, and gentrified atmosphere so that the customer doesn't feel like their settling for less, losing out and abandon your market about get allured into the chic new money arms of a Starbucks or Wholefoods . That aside I like Crown I'm not wealthy but I don't want to shop in poor folk conditions and its an okay place for me..... okay does my litrle review warrant a nice discount on my next visit?... as i am new to brooklyn i discovered this location as i just needed a few items. as i entered the store it was cluttered and dirty and no staff greeted me nor offered any assistance however they were critiquing my clothing and belongings and following me as if i was going to steal something

as i went to pay for my items i went to the counter of the lady who was most opinionated about judging me and i opened my $2500 celine bag to prove to her that i was not indeed stealing and informed her i was new to the area and i never had been to this horrible store before and that i would not ever be back either no apology from her she just rang my items so i paid and bid them all standing around doing nothing talking and making customers uncomfortable a good...
