The Utica Avenue station in Crown Heights is an absolute nightmare. The moment you step onto the platform, you're hit with the overwhelming stench of urine and garbage. It's like more people go there to poop and piss rather than use the subway. Saw a lady eating a rat! The floors are filthy, covered in grime, discarded food, and random trash that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages. The air feels heavy and unbreathable, making the entire experience unbearable. Rats can be seen scurrying around, completely unbothered by the crowds. It's chaotic and neglected, with peeling paint, broken tiles, and dim lighting that adds to the grim atmosphere. Definitely one of the dirtiest, most poorly maintained stations in the city....

There are times when the trains run well and there are times when they do not ... but the subway station remains the same always high in activity with police presence at all hours. The station comes equipped with elevators which can be accessed from street level and goes all the way to ground level. The elevators are really convenient for those in wheelchairs and for moms with strollers. There is also a bathroom available to the public (I think) but I have never used it ... oh and of course Wi-Fi! So should you ever be in Crown Heights check out...
Read moreI decided to walk to this station since I'm very close to the Kingston Ave stop, this station has a bad smell on the upper and lower platform, Full of homeless people and crackheads, I will not be going to this station anymore.
PS. The upper platform is for the Southbound for terminating 4 trains and 3 to new lots while the lower platform the one I take is for the 3 to Harlem...
