Halal Bros Grill Utica — Restaurant in New York

I had a terrible experience after working 12 hours on my feet at my job coming home wanting to get Something to eat. I walked in was not greeted. I looked up at the menu to try to figure out what I wanted to eat. I was indecisive about what to get but when you’re in customer service and someone is indecisive, that’s when you make a recommendation, like hey try this or Maybe you wanna try that. But instead the person who took my order I think his name was Kenny decided to make huff and puff sound expressions and says “Oh my God you’re changing your mind make up your mind.”He began to put His hands on his head like Can you make up your mind and he kept talking to himself. Because I’m not confrontational I just order the most random thing because I needed to eat something because I hadn’t eaten all day. Throughout the whole experience from him, taking my order to making the order he was complaining like I did something wrong by showing up to support the business. I will never walk into that restaurant again because of how I was treated as a customer who was not sure what they wanted to eat. Normally, I wouldn’t do this, but I felt compelled to because I work in customer service/retail and this was just an awful experience for me. It was also a learning lesson that I would take from and never treat someone like that Who is showing up to support the business. Also a note to Management be careful of who you hire because they could drive your business...

Absolutely delicious and unique menu! Great customer service and very short wait time. Found this spot during the West Indian Parade. It was the only spot that had decent halal food in the immediate area. What a gem! 💎

The cashier (Kenny C) was very welcoming, patient, and helpful. He even let us sample a bit of the jerk chicken just to make sure it wasn't too spicy for us. We ordered the jerk chicken and....MY GOODNESS. Phenomenal. Halal jerk chicken?! Never had it before, and this place definitely set the bar high if I ever find something like that again. Meat was very tender, tasted very fresh, big portions too. 1 plate was enough for 2 to share. On top of that, very clean.

Honestly, I can't say anything bad about this place. Fantastic all around, would come back again just to try the other Caribbean (but still halal) food items. Looking forward to...
