I wouldn’t go here if I was you . The young man at the desk made me feel if I was a criminal. I came in with a gold ring my grandfather gave me for my birthday cause it doesn’t fit too well and I don’t really wear rings , I had it in the box gave it to the worker respectfully. He tested it out in front of me and told me 95$ I said alright I’ll take it. Then he proceeded to tell me if it’s my jewelry I have the right to pawn or sell it I said I’ll sell it , he then repeats it again as if I said the wrong answer so I said ok. I’m already a shy person so this made me feel more nervous lol but anyway he then ask why I don’t want it? I told him the actual reason why which is because it was a gift and I don’t where it . He then says we’re gonna have to pass on it and hands me my ID and ring back, I’m very laid back so it was fine with me but he didn’t even apologize or give a reason. Even provided my ID and everything. But I’m not stupid , I know they were judging me from my looks and profiling me. I went to another pawn shop a couple blocks away and got my money within less than a minute no questions lol. If you don’t wanna be judged or asked questions and if you want to do good business and feel comfortable going there then don’t go here . It really was mind blowing how the employee at the counter just denied a customer like that with actual business . I understand they don’t want take things that may be stolen but terrible terrible...

I am very happy that I found some great people to take care of everything I needed with the number one man that I talked to before and after I got there, Kevin T thank you so much for having great customer service, helping me and everything and looking out for my issues I would’ve never thought that I found What I needed at the spot I would recommend anyone to this place gem Brokers they are awesome everything you need willing to work with you. Been there for years , my mother use to frequent here . However , good character means a lot especially when you’re running a pawn shop in a family neighborhood . I had a situation in which I was assaulted leaving the capital one bank next door as I made the right which would place me right infront of their store and requested camera footage and the manager lied and stated that the footage deletes every 24 hours instead of assisting a young black female whom was assaulted by three men . He also ensured he saw the commotion that day, and of course himself and other men stood there and watched and did nothing, keep in mind I don’t know these people from anywhere . It was broad daylight and I was jumped by three men ! America is done, community is done; I’ve lived in this neighborhood the entirety of my life and can’t even count on the stores surrounding my home to assist in ensuring the community is safe .
