I highly recommend avoiding this establishment due to an extremely uncomfortable experience my mother recently had with one of the cashiers, who appeared to be Hispanic. As part of our religious practice, my mother avoids direct physical contact with men, so she placed the money on the counter to respect this boundary. Rather than understanding or accommodating her, the cashier became visibly upset, pointing to his hand and demanding that she put the money directly into it. His reaction was both unprofessional and intimidating, leaving her shaken.
This kind of behavior from customer-facing staff is unacceptable and speaks to a lack of training in cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse beliefs. Management needs to address this incident seriously, ensuring that all employees treat customers with respect, regardless of cultural practices. It is unsettling to think that this level of insensitivity could go unchecked, and for the sake of future customers, this individual should not be interacting directly with the public until proper training has been implemented.
I would also like to add that this man has been employed at this establishment for many years now and it’s not the first time we’re seeing him. He’s not a new hire. For reference, management can check footage from today around 7:15 AM.
Response to owner’s comment: Yes, it happened today October 25, 2024...
Read moreBeen coming here for years, and tonight’s visit has left a distasteful impression. This occurred Thursday, 10:20pm.
I’m at the register, the cashier is a newer young Hispanic lady. At the first register that’s closer to the bread section.
Got a full shopping cart to unload ($200+). I decided to go get the boxes from the top of the fridge area just to be helpful, this way the cashier can just start putting the groceries into the box while I unload.
Instead she puts everything beside the box… literally right next to it, instead of inside. She continues to do so until she has no room. I then ask her politely, to put the things INSIDE of the box instead. She proceeds to look at me and roll her eyes.
She then took my vegetable produce(soft) and threw it into the box, followed by throwing bottled drinks (heavy) on top… only to crush what I’m paying for, all while giving an intense attitude like she’s doing me a favor.
I stopped her, and started packing everything myself.
This is not my first time here. I’ve been coming here for years. Never had any issues like this. Very disappointing.
I really didn’t want to leave this review since I always liked the staff and the establishment.
Igal, please speak to the new cashier. I’ll be happy to remove this review once she understands how to be respectful...
Read moreATTENTION: If you are worried about COVID-19 this place has employees who do not wear masks or gloves and freely break social distancing rules while stocking the store with fruits and vegetables. This doesn’t concern the cashiers, who do wear masks.
Today there were 3 male employees, no masks or gloves, laughing and talking loudly breaking all social distancing rules touching and restocking the fruits. The store was not full and had plenty of space; yet they would come extremely close to masked customers, bumping into them, laughing, speaking loudly almost in your face
When I said to that group of employees that there are signs all over the store (see photo below) all I got back is aggressive and hostile looks; one of the men snickered at me and said “she doesn’t like it”. The hostility was to the point that I am not comfortable to come back to that store ever again I have been shopping there for years and now I will take my money elsewhere.
Why would the store have several signs that enforce masks and social distancing while the employees themselves break those rules and force themselves on customers? Also, I cannot believe the employees hostility and rudeness at customers who are questioning...
