Hair Impress Dominican Style — Local services in New York

I took my nine-year-old daughter there for a wash and set and blow. The owner told me my daughters hair was too hard to do any rollers, and she would not do it. She stated that she would only do a wash and blow. I agreed to a wash and blow and a deep conditioning. The price alone was too high for me. I would pay for a silk press which would have been better look and softer and shiny in the end. My daughters hair is coarse when in natural state but it blows out to a soft and thin texture. I was not happy with the results. It looked unfinished. The owner also did not make my daughter feel like a princess. As a paying customer bringing my child for the first time she deserved better treatment. She had someone else wash and blow my daughters hair. During the entire process, the owner did not say one word to my child. No customer service was shown and I hope it’s not because we are African American customers. She did not wrap my child’s up and pin it to help set the straightening process. She left it looking unfinished with no curl at ends or shine. Even my year old said she felt the lady rushed her out of the chair. I will not go back....

This salon used to be good when first opened I was one of the first few customers since I live closeby. Came in on Monday and just 1 customer under dryer so it was slow. Veronica rushed to wash my hair.. Did not use much shampoo and just drops of conditioner . She had an attitude and interrupted when I tried to tell her . I always leave a good tip so I hope owner sees this and speak to her about treating customers with respect . Very disappointed and will consider going back to my original hair stylist . Btw. I called Hair Impress to make appt and arrived in time.
