On February 2nd, 2025, our family lost our favorite Empanadas restaurant, which we enjoyed eating at. The bespectacled owner was rude, did not explain, and told us we were wrong. Should you find that my explanation is not precise, please do not hesitate to contact me. We ordered a dozen Empanadas, and she handed me a box.
I asked her for one more sauce and she was not happy and asked for 25 cents for the extra pay. I said OKAY and the total was $28. I gave to her my BOA debit card, and she asked me $29.12 and sign. I complained that the amount was different even she did not ask or explained about the different amount.
She stated that she was the owner and manager. I informed her that I would contact VISA to file a complaint regarding the lack of an explanation, and she responded by said "GO HEAD!"
3.When we tried to eat the empanadas once we got home, it was frozen. My husband phoned her, and she stated that I had taken the wrong order box. When I received the box, she did not inquire whether I did to order the frozen empanadas or the regular warm ones. She simply handed them to me.
4.When my husband went to return it, she insisted that I had taken the wrong thing, and my husband was furious at her attitude, so they fought, and then she yelled at him, "Don't come back when he's leaving."
If you truly are the owner, you should surely hire a manager. In addition, you should not overlook your customers. Even if you are the owner, you took away our family's memories of Enpanada for fifteen and left us heartborken. Your disregarding eyes and rude attitude when I asked for one more sauce even neglected the staff who work for devotion of your store. I hope this doesn't happen again because of you. If you are at least the boss and are dealing with customers and payment, even though the po system changed two years ago, I hope you will be able to do things like void credit cards skillfully without assistance of your employees. Moreover, it is imperative to display a sign that specifies the distinction between cash...
Read moreA very strange occurrence tonight. But I am really proud of myself for not reacting. I actually ate here last year for my birthday, along with my entire family. I saw a couple enter for dinner and followed them in before 8 pm on a Sunday night, because I happened to be passing by with my toddler and we were expecting my husband to join us. A steak sounded really good at that moment, and I didn’t think this was too late to enter a restaurant that closes at 10:30 pm, even on a Sunday night.
I asked for a table, and was shown by a lady with blonde hair and glasses where to park her stroller, then she went inside but without menus and didn’t direct us to sit at any particular table. No worries, we had to use the restroom anyway, so we just went back and did our business. Back to square one. Me standing outside of the dining room, toddler in my arms, wondering where the heck we had been seated. I specified I needed a high chair. No one in particular motioned to get one, nor lead us to any table. Instead, the server and another lady were huddled, talking in whispers and handling some money at the cashier. When I asked again for the high chair to seat my toddler, and was ignored, I sensed there was something seriously wrong here. I kept my composure and simply went in, seated my toddler in her stroller, and muttered something about not feeling listened to. They just continued cold shouldering me. Then, without another word, we left. I’d lost my appetite by then, anyway. Will not be coming back here ever, even if...
Read moreMy family and I went in for lunch at 1 today, party of 12. We’ve frequented El Gauchito (Corona) since I was a kid so we knew the food would be delicious. What shocked me was the fact that upon our arrival we were told that we were only allowed to order a set prix-fixe menu (priced per person) because they’ve had bad experiences where large parties only order 2 parilladas (each parillada is intended for 2 ppl) for the entire bunch. As a business owner, I could not believe that we were being stereotyped, or that another business owner could assume that our large party would guarantee him a loss. That’s what the complexity of entrepeneurship is all about. They didn’t bring in extra waiters to serve us, and may I add, the restaurant was not full, we were sat in the backroom which only had one other table seated. We didn’t leave because we had 3 small children and it was a rainy day and luckily our waiter did not abide by these horrific rules; we ordered a la carte and he gave us an amazing experience. Maybe, you can instead enforce your parillada only for 2 rule, but don’t preface a large parties greeting by mentioning your “bad” experience. Any arriving guest is better than none. Very ignorant of whoever gave this order and very ignorant of the other 2 employees who felt the need to chime in to explain the inexplicable. Appalling to...
