Produce Market 2000 — Local services in New York

Had a bad experience today at the store. It was at around 7 PM, I went in and walked around the store and left without buying anything. As soon as I walked out the store a lady started calling "lady lady", I turned around and walked right up next to her. She was standing with a security guard. She asked me " did you pay for that" pointing to my bag full of Aldi products. I picked up my bag right in front of her face and asked her "for what?" she didn't go through my bag becuase she saw everything was from Aldi store. She just looked at me and then went back inside the store.

I know she felt extremely ridiculous for stopping someone for absolutely no reason at all. But she didn't even apologize to me.

I proceeded to cross Bedford Ave, but then decided to turn around and speak about this to the manager. As soon as I turned around I saw her walking away from the store. I guess her shift ended. So I didn't bother going to talk to the manager since she left and I could not point her to the manager nor did I know her name.

If a manager of the store is reading this, she is a short lady with very long hair. Please tell her and other employer not to do that. Its wrong stopping someone for absolutely no reason what so ever and asking them if they paid for it.

Quiet honestly I am shocked this happened. I cant comprehend why she would stop me. If they saw that I took something then of course that would be different. Then its totally fine to stop a person.

Very friendly,courteous and helpful staff. There are fresh produce, Middle Eastern prepared food and grocery items for sale. Membership benefit plan is available, at no cost, whereby shoppers earn discount points towards their purchases. The staff constantly refresh the displays thereby ensuring top quality produce is always available. There are stalls inside under air condition and outside without the benefit of air condition. Inspect your items before you pay. Prices are reasonable. For example, today I bought 6 artichokes at 2 for $3. They were heavy, with uniformed color and closed petals. They were also large. Last month I bought some at Circus Fruit for $0.99 each and they were good but I believe these that I bought today are worth the price I paid. Finally, there is street parking. I'm updating my review. They have been updated a lot and the staffs are very friendly as they used to be long time ago. Their produce & grocery are fresh. I like how they expended the space bigger.

I have come to this store for a long time. Im only giving this bad review just because of the cashier who has short and blond(or yellow) hair. (Cashier #2) She was very rude and even talked back on me in her language(Russian) with the different cashier behind me. I was trying to use my quarters and she said she doesnt need quarters since she just filled the cash register. So i asked her if i cant use my coins.
