This establishment was recommended by a friend. Said friend was styled in small butt length knotless for $180. On Google, the salon says it opens at 9am. I called a week in advance to verify & ask if it was ok for me to bring my own hair as I’m allergic to synthetic. I was advised they open at 10am. I arrived yesterday at 10 to be serviced first knowing my style, butt length knotless braids would take long. To my dismay the salon was closed. I tried calling & was sent to voicemail. A group of people arrived opening the salon at 10:45. She began my hair at 11 & subtly complained about the brand of hair I brought even though she agreed to it. She wanted to force me to use her hair so she could upcharge. I advised her I’d like my edges left out for styling. I wear glasses so when she began sectioning my baby hair, I had to remove them so I couldn’t see how much she sectioned. As she finished braiding the roots of my hair, she walked out & another lady braided down the ends. Once the lady finished, shedaat was still MIA. I waited for about 15mins unattended for her to return to do the finishing touches. When she returned, grabbing scissors to cut the braids. I politely asked her not to because I’ve noticed when stylists do this, they end up cutting your actual hair because they couldn’t tuck it into the braid completely. She became irritated & globbed a huge amount of gel on my forehead for the baby hair. Upon finishing she charged me $200. Again, she charged my friend the same style for less but I didn’t fuss. As I went to the ATM to withdraw cash, I noticed her male friend ran infront of the door as if he was going to hold me hostage even though I clearly was getting the payment. Look at my hairline. Where are the edges I asked for? As a stylist if you don’t know how to frame the clients face, at least ask them for help. Secondly, you see the crown of my hair, she became lazy or spiteful. The braids have knots & are braided stacked ontop of each other so now they won’t lay flat to the desired look I wanted. Overall I would not return or recommend this place. Don’t be fooled by the other 5star reviews. Shedaat is African & judging by the other reviewer names, they’re African as well so I’m sure she enlisted friends to...

There was a bit of a wait because I walked in. I requested butterfly 🦋 locs. She provided the option to include some color!! There was one other person before me, However she was quick and efficient, kind and courteous! The wait was not too long and there is a Dunkin across the street and a restaurant next door incase you get hungry. My locs are neat and tight! She took her time and made sure I had perfect parts.

She checked in with me through out the process making sure I was comfortable and my locs weren’t too tight and the environment was clean and pleasant.

I did not get the length I requested but overall I am still satisfied with the job! She was okay with taking $20 off her original asking price. I would recommend this location/...

I loved my hair! I got the exact style I wanted and the parts were so clean. However the blow dry and detangling experience was absolutely hellish, I highly recommend doing it yourself. Also, don’t come the day of your special event or you’ll miss it; it can get very chaotic even when shop isn’t as busy. Nonetheless the work was good and I...
