China Doll — Restaurant in New York

So I'm mixed on this rating. I wanna give this place 5 stars, but given what I just found out, I don't think I should give 5 stars. So before yesterday, 99% of the time, I would go here if I wanted some Chinese for takeout, and 99% of the time, I order the General TSO chicken combo with plain pork fried rice. Unless I added a drink or a pint of rice to the order, it would always be $11 (every time I would order just the combo, my bank statements would reflect that amount). So imagine my surprise yesterday when I looked at the menu on the wall and saw that my usual $11 order was now priced at $16. Wouldn't be an issue if they now included a bottled soda or water to any combination plate, but no. It's the same order, and they still charge drinks separately. I don't know if everything on the menu got a price increase or if it was just the combination plates, but the sudden increase with nothing extra being added is the reason why I can't give 5 stars. I will also be coming here much less often unless they start giving you a little more to justify the...

Straight blah they think they can talk to you any kind of way. Then talk about you horrible in their language. Not knowing i have been around the world in the military. And studied many languages. I said to them in Chinese and mandarin. You think all people of color and of different race's are incompetent. But yet you come to our country enter our city and work in our neighborhood. You think you own us and can get away with what you're putting in our food. Because of a building you're renting. Knowing that you're not even a legal citizen. I have dealt with people like you and worse than you.. So don't think all people of color are incompetent and lack the intelligence of any nature. Respect is respect for it is also given once you put it out... The response I received was an apology my food was made over again and they didn't want me to pay for it..... Unsanitary, overpriced, terrible food and terrible staff. A staff member was picking teeth and spitting while handling peas at the front. Woman taking order was very rude; also did not get order correct and overcharged. Also, a half naked homeless person/addict was asking patrons for money inside of the establishment and the staff turned a blind eye did not ask them to leave or do anything about it. Lastly, the fried rice tasted very off left me feeling sick, possibly using old vegetables and expired ingredients. Been to take out spots all over NY and this is quite possibly the worse one I've been too. In fact, I've never had to write a review for a Chinese take out spot, that's how bad it is. Avoid if you can, DOH should...
