Food is good, female staff can be rude or stand-offish if u look or sound American. Bc they won't greet you or smile or use any real manners, until they speaking to one of their own or someone who sounds like they were born outside of the U.S. Idk why they like, I figure they must be sad abt something bc it seems to be a cultural thing. They rufe over they messed up phone line and in person. I've only spent money here only a few times bc of that, might have been more bc the food itself is actually good. It's just getting past the staff that's the irritating part. Cuz China Doll right up the block is good af, but be getting old after a while. However at least they always greet me with a smile, remember my regular orders, and use they manners when anyone comes into there restaurant not just ppl they prefer. I will always prefer to continue giving establishments like that my money just on those principles alone. I was waiting a while to visit this place because it isn’t close by to where I live.. but I finally got a chance to stop in and visit today. I ordered the Stew Peas + Pigtail w/Peas & Rice, Festival, Bun & Cheese, and a Coconut Bailey’s cake bringing my order to over $30. First, I’ll start by saying the place inside is set up, nice and bright. However, the food that I ordered was very bland… the stew, peas and pigtail was missing flavor, spice and salt…it was to loose/watery and not thick enough to be stew peas.. the festival I ordered was hard and chewy and filled with grease seem like it was all or cooked a long time before I purchased it… It also had no real taste, and wasn’t prepared the way it should’ve been. The gentleman behind the register that served me wasn’t very courteous. All in all I can say that I tried this location and I would not go back based on my simple order and the amount that I paid.
