S&C Linden Nail Spa — Local services in New York

DO NOT GO HERE. I was a customer for over three years. They only had 1 good nail tech Mia, Who hasn't worked there in months. Every time I ask for her since she left, They'd say something like "you just missed her , she was her yesterday" or "she only works sometimes". Just to keep her customers coming. I kept going because the parking lot is convenient. Eventually, I just stopped asking for her and settled for the guy in the second chair Sam since all of the other tech's messed my nails up when Mia wasn't in one way or another.

Recently, Sam convinced me I should soak off an ombre set I had for a new acrylic set .Okay, no problem .He didn't add any tips to the set because my nails are pretty long on thier own. After I left the nails were breaking left and right .When I went back for a fill in he said my nails looked old .I said "this is a new set only 2 weeks old you did them" .

He proceeded with the fill-in and fixed the one or two nails that broke (charged me of course) One was sideways I asked him to fix it, he couldn't. Those nails lasted a few days before they started breaking .I went back today to get the broken nails fixed He says "these nails are old that's why they're breaking" "They're too thin , I'm charging you to fix them' . I said well if they look old and thin that's you're bad job that did them. These are a new set fillied in 1 time. I told him you should take responsibility for the bad job you did the first time. He argued that I was incorrect and the nails were old.

I decided to just pay and stop arguing and never go there again. I'm always pleasant, respectful and I tip. They don't value or respect their customers and this is not the first time I've experienced bad customer service. I once witnessed them charge a woman 5.00 dollars for knocking over a bottle of nail polish they had sitting on the edge of a table .She looked upset but reluctantaly paid them. They charge you for everything down to the oxygen and I don't mind paying. However , if I pay for a service I want quality and I want it done correct.

I would not advise this place. It was a man who comments are ignorant based on your skin color that worked there, when I went. The time's I went there, I was short on time and couldn’t make it to where I would prefer to go. The times I went I ironically, had this man who does nails there who was sitting in the first seat on the left side. The first time he did my nails his comment was weird, but I brushed it off. But when I had him again, I saw his angle on things. He would suggest dark nail polish colors, and will make a face if you pick the color you want. At first I thought maybe he just likes dark colors, but he implied the colors he picked would look better on my fingers. Why wouldn’t a pink look nice on my fingers, only a very dark burgundy...

I give this establishment 0 stars because they don’t know how to properly do nails. They don’t even know how to cut cuticles correctly, so you figure it out. They don’t show you the prices for regular services they are giving spa prices. This place does not even look like a up class nail salon let alone a spa. If you want to go to a place where you don’t have to be under pressure to add on all these different services to get the regular results of the cheaper priced ones. Then don’t go here because they are horrible and high priced. Oh when they give you the white card with the prices for the services please turn it over because they show you the high priced...
