Springer Screen Printing LLC — Local services in New York

If I could give one star I would. So I needed a sweatshirt printed and I called beforehand. The owner picks up and says that I can bring in and order one sweatshirt. So I go in and he's not there but the lady at desk mentioned that he would be back soon and she would have him call me to give me a quote and estimated time sweatshirt would be done. This was on a Friday. I waited until Tuesday for a return call. That never happened so I called myself. (Sign 1) I brushed it off and he gave me a quote so I went in. Initially I knew it was a sign and the fact that the quote was fairly high, but I needed it so I was willing to pay. So I went in and paid deposit and made sure that he could have it done. I expressed that due to me going out of town 2 days later I wouldn't need it until the next week. So I come back and they tell me my sweatshirt is ready. I look at the sweatshirt and the print was coming off and the sleeve where there were 3 different colors for African flag was pinched as if it wasn't properly pressed in machine. Thank god it was only one sweatshirt and I would've taken it but the sleeve was too bad to ignore. So I tell the owner that I would like redone and this man goes off..mind you there's another customer inside. He says that he doesn't think it's a job that he would like to continue doing because it was too much work for "too little pay" $40 for one sweatshirt. He then goes further to say that it was my fault for the type of file I sent. Mind you I've used this file several times and the only reason I was using him over my regular guy is because he was closer to my home and home of my customer..and it was such a small order.

I told him that he should not have taken the job if he didn't want to do it. The thing that baffled me was the fact that he lacked customer service in that it was clear what my business represented "Black to Business"...supporting black owned businesses. Not once did I ask him to lower the price. He gave me a quote and I paid him. On top of that I feel like this is a place that is used to quick orders that don't require much time, and my order required detail and time which he wasn't willing to give. You are in a creative business and it takes time. On top of that he could not find my receipt when I asked for a refund. Too much work I guess.

I usually don't write reviews but I felt that the way I was treated was unprofessional and I ended up giving my customer back their money (losing business) because of this. The lady was very nice but it is clear why this business isn't...

Please do not support this very rude and unprofessional business. They WERE over 2 hours late preparing my step daughters 21st bday banner. Now they refuse to give her a full refund they offered 50% of a refund when she paid 100% of the price. You call them and they give you the run around. I finally spoke to the owner and he is rude and belligerent. He talks over you and doesnt care about his customers at all. If I Could give them 0 stars I would but I will take it up in small claims court and keep you all posted. Till then AVOID THIS PLACE...

I have come here over dozens of times. Every time I come this place is just so unprofessional. I don't even understand how they stay open.They can care less for customers. You better not have anything important to do going there no appointment,Job interview or anything because they will sit look at you ,talk on the phone or hold private conversation. They have officially lost me as a customer. This is why you can't support your own community. Sad because things like this only happens in...
