Fix-U-Plate — Restaurant in New York

This place serves some good food it is a buffet so you know what to expect. They try their best to clean up after people who are messy where food has dropped on the galley. But it's kind of hard because people are continuously moving back and forth over the food. They have a rule where you cannot talk on your cell phone while you are serving your own plate which is a good rule to put into effect. However although we're trying to keep sanitary conditions you don't want your customers to speak on their phones while serving their plates but you'll have your staff members Supply more foods to the tray in the hot plate or hot stand without a net covering their head. Or they will place food into the dishes without a plastic glove holding the utensil while they place the food inside of the pans at the hot Buffet. I don't understand it so which one carries the most germs if this is what we're looking to make sure we have less of the person who's talking on the phone or the worker who's not covering his or her hair and hands? Customer service here with the cashiers is always great always a smile. The location is easy to get to by train or car. They seem to always fit these fix-u-plate in the area where the majority of the people on Caribbeans. Now a lot of food served here or from the Caribbean background but that does not mean that it would not be just as successful in the neighborhood that is less Caribbeans. After all who doesn't know about jerk chicken, escovitch fish, peas and rice, by me if you been to Jamaica as a person who's not from the Caribbean or the Bahamas or Trinidad or Grenada or Barbados or if you have a nanny who is from one of these islands you know all about this Cuisine so why not Branch out into another neighborhood let everyone else taste the good cooking that fix u plate...

I saw they had the Lima bean and hotdog casserole my mom used to make it with bacon instead but it is way too peppery and salty as heck and the pork stew same thing they suffocate the great food with heat and I like a little heat but this was crazy for $15 one round foil pan I spent on cayenne! If I knew that before hand I never would’ve stepped in there. Then a guy accused me of jumping him in line while I was holding a steaming hot foil pan nowhere to put it down he complains I took his spot please mister My hands are burning and I was here before you ugh never again staff was polite though thank goodness it’s a shame because the food looks delicious and would be if it weren’t so salty and filled with hot spices. Maybe the other dishes were milder but the stews caught my eye and the aroma of them was gorgeous I’m just so disappointed I spent my money on...

3½ years a customer, the food started off good but is BORDERLINE to date. Doesn't appear to be getting any better. Inconsistencies with dishes are very common, too SALTY and sometimes just right.. but NEVER CONSISTENT. THE OWNER IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL and doesn't make you feel welcome. It's as though you stepped in his living room with muddy boots on when you enter, the NASTY looks he gives in place of a GREETING! The PRICES HAVE GONE FROM BAD TO HORRIFIC!!! Be careful at the counter, more TRICKS WITH THE PRICING THAN A SHADY MECHANIC! Prices change very often and you're not always informed. It's as though hes trying to MAKE THE CUSTOMER pay back A BAD LOAN HE MADE by NEXT WEEK! Sorry I went there for this long.. NEVER AGAIN.
