Very nice, pleasant station. it's on the Harlem River canal (or whatever you call the artificial cut connecting the Harlem River and the Hudson River), right off the Hudson river, across the river from the hills of Inwood Hill Park. So, it's all views of water and natural areas, with the Henry Hudson Bridge very, very nearby. To get there, you have to walk down a staircase, go down a short hill and over a short bridge. As it's isolated, and adjacent to a natural area/park, this may be of interest if you are using it when it's dark, although I haven't heard of any problems.
