I've given this place plenty of chances. I think their all star worker isn't working there anymore. Whenever I call for an appointment, upon arrival (early at that), I still have to sit and wait regardless of soaking off my previous gel acrylic job.
*I asked over the phone for an acrylic soak off and a new acrylic SNS set, manicure only. When I get there 15 min early, I soak off for a good amount of time almost forgotten about.
Once I'm seated, I am given to the only male worker. He hands me a basket of colors, which I knew were incorrect and only for gel as they did this to me last time and got me excited for a color that I couldn't even choose. The head of the salon (female manager, maybe) comes over and yells at him that he gave me the wrong basket of colors.
I finally get the correct color that I'm allowed to choose with her help.
I then re-iterate that I want acyrlic nail set. He starts to file my nails and asks what shape I want my real nail. I thought this was odd since they wont even be showing. So I tell him I want them short and not so much shown. He starts to apply the gel powder paste-like substance on each nail which seems odd to me and not a step I recall having done my nails in the past several times now. *I again reiterate I want acrylic and making sure he knows this. He then laughs this comment off and says "yes, very nice". Clearly a language barrier but there's a difference between that and straight up ignorance.
So as I watch him continue to put the gel paste on each nail, he asks me what shape i want that. I then have to google for him what acrylic nails are because Im wondering when hes going to apply that. Once the manager steps in to see what I wanted this whole time, she yells at him and tells him to shave off the work he already did and apply acrylic onto an already half gelled on nail.
I got them removed a week later and now my nails are ripping downward from the double toxins he applied to my nail from a mistake that could have been avoided.
Will never...
Read moreHad to come back twice to fix my gel pedicure that didn’t last two days the first time. Second time was much better. They also do nice long nails but honestly their attitude sucks depending on what u look like. They kept trying to rush me out the second time and wouldn’t fix a mistake when she made one of my nails look different from the others by shape, length and color. I only asked for a color fix but that alone they didn’t want to fix so I didn’t even mention that the size and shape was way off too I just left. I Tried to come back a third time to fix a broken nail and they didn’t even look up. Just annoyed that I was back and said come back the next day because they were “busy” even though there were 3 empty chairs and I just wanted ONE nail fixed. I froze and said okay then asked what time to come so I won’t come at a busy hour again and the woman just got annoyed and kept saying “tomorrow” when I clearly kept asking WHAT TIME TOMORROW. Then she said 8pm after me asking a third time because at that point I was starting to lose my temper. I said okay and left. But I will not be back.
I paid $130 my first visit with the bad pedicure. It’s not like I’m a cheap customer. I’m spending my hard earned money here after work. The least they can do is fake a...
Read moreSo glad to have this salon in my neighborhood! Ying does a spectacular job on my nails every time. Always call ahead of time, as they tend to get busy. Great color selection as well. My only complaint is that I've gotten the same service every time, yet they always charge me a different price? I only keep going because I can't find a tech in the area that does a better job.
UPDATE
I used to love this salon but since Ying left, I don’t think I’ll be returning. I tried a new tech trusting I’d get the same service and quality, but I was very wrong. Two days later, ALL of my gels were lifting, two I even found on the floor. To make matters worse, I came in shortly after, told them what happened, thinking they’d fix them for free as that is what any other salon would do if they messed up, but nope, they charged me an additional $40? After I already spent $75 (without tip) on nails that ripped off two days later. I’ll be taking my...
