⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Brooklyn Public House – Fort Greene Skip the burgers. Skip the fries. Go straight for the bangers and mash, real-deal sausages (from Myers of Keswick if you’ve got a palate) on creamy mash with light, flavorful gravy. Comfort food that knows what it’s doing. I added a double whiskey hot toddy, warm, balanced, and nowhere near too strong (despite the warning from my lovely server, Celine). She was outstanding, fast, intuitive, and dog-friendly to the core. My dogs got water before I even asked. Outdoor seating is cozy, the pub’s clearly got Irish bones, and every bite was better than the last. 🍽️ What to order: Bangers & Mash 🍹 What to drink: Hot Toddy (double it) 🐶 Dogs? Very welcome. 📍 Pro tip: Come for the Irish classics, not the American basics.

We came for the free pumpkin carving event 10/21 and had SO much fun! 🎃 Thank you Brooklyn Public House for hosting such a festive and community-oriented event. I think offering a spread of free pumpkins and carving tools for anyone who wants to participate and cash prizes for winners is just so generous, not to mention the staff who had to be down with serving a bunch of pumpkin gut-covered patrons and be continuously cleaning up all the gunk all night but were in great spirits and having fun. Food-wise, the veggie burger was one of the best I’ve ever had, the shepherd’s pie was delicious, and my friend who got the French onion soup said it was way better than at a nearby fancy French restaurant that charged way more. We will be back!!

Stopped here for lunch during Christmas and New Year’s. It was really busy but we were able to find 2 seats at the bar. There was only one member of staff working but she did a great job of serving so many people. We ordered the fish and chips, chicken club and a side of curry sauce. The food was delivered pretty quickly and everything tasted good. The curry sauce was slightly sweeter/fruitier than we are used to but it wasn’t a bad version of UK curry sauce. There were a couple of football (soccer) games on and the bar was really buzzing on a Monday afternoon. A really fun spot to watch some sport and have some good pub food. We live locally and will definitely visit again.

I’m one that leaves reviews only when having positive things to say but will be making an exception for Wendy, Marcela and the Brooklyn Public House. Last Friday, I walked in with a friend and my service dog for a quick bite. Marcela at first told us to wait a few minutes before she came to us to sit us down. 5 min later, she came but then realized I was accompanied by my service dog. She then asked to see some type of certification that he was, in fact, a service dog, which is technically ilegal to request. Fine, I agreed to it and showed her the certification. She said to wait another minute. At this point she had already sat down a two person party that came in after us, so it seemed obvious she had an issue with the service dog even after I showed proof. She then proceeded to consult Wendy, who seemed to have more authority, about seating us down at a table, to which Wendy replied “i don’t want any dogs in here.” Marcela then came to me to say “the owner doesn’t want any dogs in the premises.” This is completely ilegal. You cannot refuse service to patrons with a service dog per the American Disabilities Act. I had never experienced such thing before. Not only did they refuse service, but they were completely unapologetic and rude about it. This is ILEGAL to do. Owner, Wendy, Marcela: if you are reading this, know that I’m going to pursue any and all legal avenues against against your business for violating the ADA. You are not...

Was glad this place was open earlier to see an EPL game. My friend and I were looking to order the burger and beer combo but the waiter said they weren't serving lunch so we looked at the brunch options. Just a few moments later we saw other people receive lunch items like the burger and calamari.

We saw the bottomless brunch option and it looked like a good deal since we were already going to order a brunch item and a drink or two. I asked the waiter if it came with a brunch item and he said "yes it's included" so we went with it since it looked like a better deal. After we finished and saw our bill we were shocked to see that we had to pay the $22.00 on top of our brunch orders. A waitress told us that she always clarifies that the brunch item is not included so we felt cheated by the first waiter who said the brunch item was a part of the deal. Please reword your menu to make it more clear what the customer...

I would not recommend this place!!!!...When we first walked in to ask questions as it was our first time the delivery from the hostess or server was not welcoming...She did not make us feel like you should stay...Then I decided to go to the bathroom...The bathroom was full of water on the ground and by the toilet...We ordered drinks one being the frozen pina colada drink was the size of a small glass (shot size) which was horrible for the price of $13....They give you bad tables even though other tables were available...The menu that you had to scan that was given to us was very sticky and old food was left on it...We took a menu from other tables until we found a clean one....It's not only bad food and drinks but the bad attitude that is bad for business which will make people not want to come back...Overall, I would not recommend to go here and waste your...
