Griffin's Floral Design — Local services in Newark

So I have used Nancy's Flowers on two occasions. One for my Anniversary and the second for my wife's birthday. The bouquet for my anniversary, my wife really liked what she received and the service and price were good which lead me to using Nancy's on the second occasion. My anniversary bouquet once my wife received it, she sent me a picture of it and i noticed that it didn't kinda look anything like i thought it would look like. I understand that most florists will substitute with what is available and I remember seeing the disclaimer online when i was checking out that I agree to any substitutions. I really didn't mind the difference from what was advertised and what the bouquet would look like to the actual product because my wife loved them. The second purchase, my wife loved (whose partner doesn't like receiving flowers), service was great (Nancy called me to verify the address prior to the delivery) and the price was reasonable, but the product that i thought i was purchasing looked nothing like what was received. I have to say my wife, loved the flowers and I'm thankful for that but I will have to say I will no longer purchase flowers from Nancy's. The disparity between what I thought I was purchasing and what she received is far too different. So different when my wife showed me what she got (she was excited to get them and she said she loved them, by the way) i didn't know they were the flowers i had sent because they looked so different. The disparity was so great, I really believed the value of what was received and purchased was just too much to overlook a second time. You know first time shame on you, second shame on me kinda deal. This time the negative outweighed the positives. I appreciate all that they have done in bringing happiness to my wife on two occasions but unfortunately i do not have the confidence in purchasing flowers from...

Since 1983 I have gotten my wife 1 yellow rose in a dozen red roses for every year we have been married... I must say I didn't think about getting past 12 at the time, but its my promise to her that I have kept for 36 years. She has always loved the anniversary arrangements bought her till this year. They always came with babies breathe, a ribbon on the vase and greenery to go with it... never had to order that as an add-on before from Nancy's which I have used for years so when the cost of almost 200.00 dollars and delivered to my wife's place of work I figured I would be and more importantly my wife would be pleased as usual. She got flowers only in the vase... nothing else! My wife sent them a notice of disappointment and told me of her concerns with the response they gave her that we had to order those add-ons, I guess they're called, I shutter to think of the cost of those add-ons, in their defense 2 days later they offered to pick them up... add that stuff at no charge but I consider it lesson learned, know where not to go next year which by the way means 4...

I must say I am pretty disappointed in the arrangement. It is not at all what I asked for or what I was told it would be.

I requested the bouquet be filled with purples. I was told it would have purple gerbera daisies, light purple regular daisies, lavender roses and some white stalks etc mixed in. Honestly it feels like because we mentioned that the senders were from out of state you intentionally chose to not honor very clearly laid out requests.

I also requested that the card be changed to reflect the names in the above email as well as to say Love from your Cabbie Sisters. The card is completely incorrect from what I noted above and was told the changes were made to the card. Clearly not a single change was made as requested. Wilma loved purple. We wanted purples.
