We were customers of pioneer for 17 years. We had a land line and we got the fiberoptic high speed internet. They sold one speed plan but when we would ping it we weren't even getting half the speed we were paying for. We would call customer service and they would say it's on my end. I needed a new router I needed something else every time I called. So i would buy whatever it was they said I needed and yet the same result. But I'd call them back and id get the same answer.....its not their problem. Well after 4 years I thought maybe try them again. See if they got their stuff straight yet. Online it said no upfront costs, no contracts. I called to see about having our high speed internet turned back on since we already have the fiberoptic ran to our house and the battery backup installed since we had previously had pioneer. Well....first off they tried to tell me I still owed money from my previous account lol I argued with them because I know I dont and they looked closer and said oh no...I see here now where it was paid. So they tried to get more money out of me there. Then they told me even though it said no upfront costs and no contracts online that I would have to pay a $75 deposit and a $150 installation fee lmao. I told them that pioneers fiberoptics and battery backup and everything else is already installed and that there would be no installation required and she said well if I sign a one year contract they would wave the installation fee. I do not recommend them to anyone. My mother recently had gotten pioneer in her new home and they screwed her around just as badly. Their so called fiberoptics high speed internet never works as it should and she had nothing but problems. Pioneer customer service is rude and not helpful at all. I will wait for OEC to get to my house. No matter how long...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start off this review with saying I absolutely despise Pioneer both as an ISP and as a Phone Provider, their IT Support isn't supportive as the name would suggest, they seem to throw out random suggestions just so they dont have to be on the phone. For about a year now our speeds have been extremely slow and usually sits around 50-75% packet loss, even during off peak hours. Our phone line is in the same boat, high frequency buzzing makes it difficult to have a conversation. Our lines were damaged about a year ago and have yet to see a Pioneer van even attempting to repair anything, but they do love to suggest we buy a $30 Modem from them at $200. I feel the lowest rating I can give is still too high, I'd love to leave 0/5. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company, go to AT&T, they may not be the fastest but at least they're consistent. The pictures attached are what you can expect from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe internet works fine but they have no clue what they're doing. When we had it set up the guy was on the phone asking what to do the entire time. Then we got download of 9mbps I pay for 30. We called them back within 10 minutes of them leaving to have it fixed. Then I had to call to have my account set up to log in to change the passwords. Now I can't even view my bills online until I get the first one in the mail which won't be for another month? I'd give it zero stars for customer service but at least the internet actually works. I'm updating this 9 months after my original post. Again the internet itself isn't bad but I've sent 4 auto pay forms to them now and only 1 has made it to them I don't know where the other 3 went but I had to pay late fees every time because the don't even so much as send an email letting u know that they haven't processed...
