Taco Mayo — Restaurant in Newcastle

I did an app/curbside order that was to be ready by 7:20pm. I arrived at Taco Mayo at 7:21pm. I waited until 7:33pm before I left the app/curbside parking spot to circle around to the drive thru line. While waiting I attempted to call Taco Mayo X 2 but no one answered. When itvwas my turn to order at the drive thru I told them my name and I waited at the app/curbside pickup but no one showed up with my order. The person I was speaking with proceeded with telling me they were not setup to fo app orders. I told him I didn't believe that when the app reveals they are on the location list and the app accepted ny order and cc payment; and they said "come through the drive thru" and I said "yes, I'm on line now". A few minutes later another person said "hello"; I said "yeah, what do you want". He asked"so wants going on?" I told him the same thing then said "I expect my order to be right and not cold". I repeated same information at the pickup window then advised "if not doing the app/curbside orders then I suggest you take down the "park here" sign. Needless to say my order was freshly made and they found my order and payment without me giving them any information which proves to me they were lying. They learned the hard way just how upset/mad I was. I'll think twice before using...

I have never eaten at a Taco Mayo. The food was good. But what really impressed me was the service. These were the kindest folks I've ever delt with in a fast food restaurant. Above and beyond. I misread the board and thought they left off one of our sides. When I inquired about why it was left off they were super polite in how they explained my mistake. Realizing it was my error I was ready to simply return to my meal but they insisted I receive the side and wished us a merry Christmas. ❤️ The store was relatively quite due to a snowstorm. Moments later we received a phone call from my son an hour away that he'd locked himself and his younger brother out of the house in 8 degree weather, as well as locked the keys in our truck they had left running to watm it up. 🤦🏼‍♀️ (We called a friend to get them) As we hurried to gather our food to leave they offered to package up, and bag the partial meal so it wouldn't get cold or blown out of our hands by the high winds outside. Best affordable cheese quesadilla And the frybread taco has been a first Tuesday of the month treat since with extra sour cream and some jalapeños. And if you want a cheap light snack Crunchy beef taco with some chips n cheese are nice. They won me over after repeatingly bad orders from the taco bell down by the Walmart. This tastes fresh and is budget friendly.

The new fish taco is good too love the smokey cilantro Chipotle sauce.

...also can we consider the steak triple stack a limited edition item after selling it for 1.5 years? Not complaining but the limited edition poster in the window...
