The Barn at Country Club, LLC — Local services in Newcastle

This is a fantastic venue for any and all occasions. I've been an attorney for thirty-one (31) years here in OKC and my beautiful wife and I have been eagerly awaiting the marriage of our only son & daughter-in-law. They were supposed to be married April 23rd of this year but weren't able to get married in Colorado, even though the parent's of the bride had reserved the venue and photographer before the COVID-19 pandemic. The chapel in Colorado refused to refund their money and the photographer only refunded half of their fee. My son is a minister in Kentucky and he and his bride-to-be have been waiting for two (2) years for their big day. Of course, fate stepped in and crushed their big wedding day. My wife and daughters stepped in and we "discovered" The Barn at Country Club, LLC, located at: 1675 OK-37, Newcastle, OK 73065. The owner is an amazing, accommodating and passionate man. We were able to rent the venue and, by the grace of God, ralley together and had a wonderful, memorable and beautiful wedding for our children. The restrooms are ridiculous. The saloon doors are a weird touch and they slam so hard when you force your way through them due to the fact they DO NOT open easily. Also the bottoms of them are so high up it just feels like it lacks privacy. Also the fact they are downstairs and basically outside down the stairs is not ideal in my opinion. I wanted to like this place because I considered it for future events we may have and this was my first time coming here but it might just be my last. Just was not impressed with it at all and worse of all the lady working there was a bit rude. Oh and the fact that it was not cleaned well from the previous guests when we arrived created more work for us. We had to sweep and clean up their mess to be able to get our party ready and to ensure we were not...

The event space is upstairs. Be sure to have a lot of people to help so you don't have to make 10,000 trips up and down the stairs. Would have been nice if the bathrooms were cool. It was almost as hot in the bathrooms as it was outside. Oh, the bathrooms are downstairs. It was 96 degrees and over 100 degree heat index. The event area cooled off nicely. Hire a caterer. It will be so much easier on everyone. The space was nice but you have to be able to walk up the stairs. There is also adequate parking.
