I had an absolutely horrible experience!!
It’s clear their franchise is more concerned with appearances than providing actual care. This is evident not only from the service I received but also from glaring issues like the IV bag fixtures being hung at least 7 feet high—far taller than recommended—and the mere 45 minutes scheduled for a 1-liter fluid bag, despite studies showing it takes at least 60 minutes for proper absorption.
The nurse who administered my IV shoved the needle in so hard that I almost kicked and jerked out of the chair. She ignored my complaints and never once checked to see if I was in pain during the drip—which I was.
The IV line had more air bubbles than I’ve ever seen, and I routinely receive hydration from both medical staff and hydration bars. I even considered going straight to the ER due to the concerning amount of air pushed through my veins.
With about 1/4 of the bag left, the nurse came over, squeezed the bag, and laughed when I winced from the pain caused by her moving the line.
From check-in to payment, the entire appointment took only 30 minutes—half the recommended time for administering a 1-liter IV bag. The studio was practically empty except for one other person, and when I booked online just an hour before, plenty of time slots were available. There was no rush for the nurse to speed through the process; she chose to for no apparent reason.
On top of everything, I wasn’t even offered the complimentary B12 shot advertised for new patients.
Without a doubt, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hydration bar.
Save yourself the time, money and risk of air bubbles in your veins - go...
Read moreMy experiences with the Hydration Room have been stellar! I usually go to the Newport Center location. The staff there, Amanda (NP) , Kevin, Amanda, Christie ( the Wellness Coordinators) are all amazing as well. I have also had the opportunity to have Sean (mobile IV nurse) come to my home and he is equally as fabulous. My husband and I travel quite a bit and never leave home without the wellness and immunity IV....which always seems to keeps us healthy. The skin IV has been miraculous for me in healing from minor post surgical procedures. It is full of peptides and vitamins all helping to make my skin looks its best. I highly recommend the hydration room--I guarantee they will have a solution to make you feel better whether it is muscle fatigue, skin health, immunity, energy or you just want to feel better. And the staff will take...
Read moreInexplicably the nurse injected the Cold/flu shot in my right glut and hit the sciatic nerve. It burned horribly at the time of the injection, and she mentioned it was probably because it's my dominant leg. I haven't been able to walk without shooting leg pain for 10 days now - wrapping down through my hamstring around the outside of calf and ending in numbness of the foot. It completely ruined the holiday. 3 trips to the PT and the Urgent Care for a prescription to Medrol steroid treatment to clam the nerve. I'm an active runner, tennis and soccer player and work out daily, but have been sidelined with this for nearly 2 weeks. Beware these injections and stay far away from the Newport Beach...
