Purchased an ac unit from the location in Bay Springs, first payment was not due until 7-19-2022 I called to make payment over the phone and was told they no longer accept payment over phone but she can send a link via text to make payment. I received the link and applied the payment. Week later I get a call that the payment has not been made and they demanded payment or the repossession of the item. I showed the screenshot and the notice from the bank were the transaction settled and was approved on the day I made the initial payment. Now it is time for the second payment to be made on the ac unit and I contact the store in Bay Springs and asked if I could get the link sent so I could make the payment. Link was sent then I input the card information and I received an error message that the card number was incorrect. Remind you i just made a purchase with the same card. So before I contacted Rapid Rentals I contacted my bank to see if they where experiencing issues. Bank looked through my incoming and outgoing transactions and it did not show no pending transactions from the merchant. I went in Newton spoke with Bobby rapid rental and asked if anyone had been experience the same issues. He and his staff apologized and had me try to process the payment and it showed the same error messages. So then they sent me a link for just $1 to see if that would help and we still got the same error message. So he reached out to the local in Rapid Rentals and spoke with General Manger out of Forest. I reached out the Rapid Rentals in Bay Springs and spoke with Shawnna and she immediately attacked me over the phone saying it is my card and if that don't go through just pay with cash. When I asked to hear to listen to proceed to be very unprofessional and argumentative and I asked her to use her active listening skills and maybe get me to IT. She hung up in my face, yes a paying customer face. When i proceed to call back Shawnna did not answer the phone professionally nor did she brand the call with Rapid Rentals. She immediately stated she was not going to argue with me. If the manager Shawanna does not know how the system works maybe Rapid Rentals need to seriously think about who they have representing them as a company. Shawanna needs uptraining on the operation system they they her upgraded to because she apparently has no knowledge nor patience to deal with technology or a paying customer who is paying their bill before it is due to keep confusion down. With uptrain for Shawanna this will help with her professionalism, customer services skills and possibly turn in to one call resolution from customers so then she will be able to differentiate when she has an irate customer on the phone and when she has customer that just wants some clarity on the pos system. I will continue to reach out and go up the chain of command and until Ms. Shawanna is reprimanded for how she handles customers. The call was recorded and would I would love to play it back for the general public though Facebook, tiktok and Instagram so they know what to expect when dealing with Rapid Rentals in Bay Springs...
Read moreI've done business with rapid rental in Collins for years now and I haven't had a problem. When I have really needed help they didn't give me a hard time to get it. When you're not able to pay full price for merchandise but really need it, it's good to be able to get it rent to own. They save my life recently, when my air conditioner tore up. I couldn't find one anyway without paying 2 to 3 hundred dollars for it. They told me if they get one they would call and let me know. The next day they called and I can breathe again. Some company will say they will call but they don't they just make the sell. They seem to care about others and that's a good quality to have in a company...
Read moreThe folks at Rapid rentals always take care of us. I could not more highly recommend a rent to own company than rapid. Amended 8-17-23. I originally gave these folks a 5. But today, two days after our agreement, I was informed they could not deliver where I live. We should have been told this up front. Instead we now have a few hundreds dollars tied up waiting for refunds and do t have access to those funds which could have been used to find our B appliance elsewhere.
