I moved to Boston Sept 2022 and was nervous trying to find a new piercer after having left my one and only piercer back home. I went through all the research online and on all socials and found Ursa Major and more specifically, Bryony. I had been wanting to get my second nostril piercing for a while and after many many failed attempts, I put my full trust in Bryony to get it done for the 3rd time and I couldn’t be more grateful that I found her. She talked me through my concerns, the healing process, what worked before and what didn’t, things we could potentially try for this new healing process and even consistently checked in on my healing journey. The entire studio makes you feels so incredibly safe and Bry not only creates the most safe and respectful environment, but she’s an incredibly welcoming and friendly person, she’s the person you DO want poking around your ears or nose to create the prettiest pieces! My second nostril piercing was finally a success after Bry pierced it and walked me through the healing process. She allowed for the most comfortable and safe relationship to bloom and I’ve gone back to her many many times, she’s created and curated designs for my ears, piercing new pieces for me and even thinking of me when new jewelry comes in that would work with my anatomy or new piece wishes. I had an amazing experience getting my piercing here! Bryony was so easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I didn't feel talked down to or weird, just excited and affirmed! I absolutely loved the Pokémon decor and stuffies, it was really fun to be in the shop. Also, this is small, but I seriously appreciate that the pricing is clear and inclusive of jewelry and aftercare. I know price isn't really important, but it was one less thing to worry about--knowing what to expect when going into an anxiety inducing situation is really helpful--and I also have felt awkward when trying to select an affordable piece of jewelry at other piercers, which wasn't the case here.
