This business is shady, the store is a safety hazard and the owner is a questionable character.
I needed to repair my amplifier and NAD indicated this colossal disgrace as an authorized Service Center. They shall hear from me soon.
There isn't a website, of course. Red flag one. I contacted the owner via email and asked him to confirm his address and business hours. He provided the information but asked me to call first because he might not be at the store. You know, like a business. Red flag two.
The store itself is a health and safety hazard, with rows of piled up electronic items. Red flag three. In retrospect, I should have left an Ariadne thread to make sure we could find our way back.
After the "how do you dos" and "nice to meet yous", he straight up asked me and my wife "while you're at the store, wanna buy something?" (sic). Red flag four. Incidentally, do not buy anything. The place is a veritable Jenga. One displaced CD player and the whole thing could collapse.
After I handed him the amplifier and filled a receipt, he said "and now I want money from you" (sic). Red flag five. I should have left immediately, but didn't and gave him my credit card instead. He informs me "no cards, just cash or check". Red flag six. I explained I haven't carried cash for a few years, which prompted red flag seven and the most bizarre moment of the whole interchange. He said "I told you this over the phone but you already hung up" (sic). You know what, this has to count as two red flags. So, eight.
I told him I would come the following Monday with his cash but ended up changing my mind and told him via email not to touch the amplifier.
Overall, I wasted 3 afternoons and around $80 between Ubers and Zipcar, to end up...
Read moreZERO STARS!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT HERE!!! QSC told me that this was an authorized shop to fix my QSC K12.2. Called first to make sure that it was open and that he would accept it. Guy was unsure of the hours or if he would be there which was weird. Since QSC said they are authorized, I brought my speaker anyways because I needed it fixed. A month passed and I called to ask for an update of how things were going. He mentioned he did not touch it yet in a very rude way. I called QSC and they said I could just ship it out to them myself and that they didn’t understand why he did not even touch it. When I went to go pick it up he was mad at me but he didn’t even do anything about it. He was trying to have me buy something random at that place. The guy was extremely unprofessional and rude. His store was a mess with a whole bunch of junk everywhere that felt unsafe to even walk in there. If anything was to ever fall you would be in danger of getting hurt. Please do yourself a favor and find a different place. This place does not deserve to be a QSC...
Read moreI have to say this shop does a miraculous job with whatever I bring in. A couple months ago I brought in my old keyboard that was stashed in the basement for years to see if it could somehow be fixed, as many of the keys refused to press down and my computer would not respond to several other keys on top of that. The keyboard was fixed within a matter of a couple days, and everything worked! Last week, I brought in my printer, which consistently gave error messages that there was a paper jam when there clearly was not. I called the manufacturer and they told me I even need to replace the roller or buy a new printer. I brought it into West Suburban and within two hours the printer was fixed and there was no paper jam error anymore. The roller just had to be thoroughly cleaned! Overall, great service from this place, and I would recommend anybody needing their electronics to be repaired...
