After looking some of the other reviews. It made me realize that I wasn't trippin! I make my own skin care products and have been doing so for years. I also sale them. I have never purchased shea butter that was gritty and that smelled of mildew. I didnt think to smell it, when I was in store. But I lost about $700 worth of product because I could not sale the product even after essential oils were added, it still smelled like mildew. I even had others smell it to make sure it wasn't me. When I went to return what I had not mixed, the store manager/owner stated that she could not smell what I was smelling. I think the product may have gotten wet or wasn't pure. I like the store set up and the fact that its minority owned, but I dont trust these people or the product that they sale. If you choose to purchase from this company exam the texture and quality of the product if possible. Highly Do Not Recommend!!

I’ve ordered the Batana oil in 4oz, then I got the 8oz twice eventually deciding to get the 16oz since the product was so good. Their Batana oil seems to be the real deal and it works wonders for my daughter’s eczema however, for some reason when I got the 16oz container it initially didn’t seem like the others I’ve previously ordered. I couldn’t smell that coffee scent, and it seemed to have a waxy smell to it as well as a different texture. I cut my oven on high, placed the container of Batana oil on top of the stove allowing it to melt down but not over heating it to where it melt the container. Once it melted all the way I places it aside allowing it to get back to its solid form and magically it had the coffee smell and seemed to be just right. It did have a few little waxy feeling lumps in it so I’m hoping the Batana oil it’s mixed with anything. Overall I love, love, love their products so I’m giving this 16oz Batana oil another shot. Worst case scenario, I’ll go back to ordering the 8oz size,...
